Act 2

It was the day of the experiment that Dr Octavious was going to have with the new power generator. He also upgraded and modified his mechanical arms so they can keep him safe and make the experiment more stable. They were now much longer and could extend a long way. The arms also had many functions to it like the sharp claws on the arms. Peter came so he could help Dr Octavious during the experiment in case anything went wrong. Behind the machine, we can see 2 people from Oscorp messing with the wiring of the machine. Dr Octavious Began the experiment. Everything seemed to be going well until there was a big explosion that sent Dr Octopus flying back. The lab was collapsing and Peter knew he had to do something. He had no time to put his spidey suit on so he had to do this without any secret identity. Dr Octavious was stuck underneath some rubble, so Peter used all of his strength to lift the rumble out and get Dr Octavious to safety. Dr Octavious was knocked out. Peter brought Dr Octavious to the hospital, with his 4 mechanical arms still attached. The doctors noticed that the mechanical arms were now physically attached to Dr Octopus and that there was no way they could get it off him. That night, Dr Octavious woke up in the hospital, not knowing what was happening. There was a voice in his head telling him to escape. The voice was coming from his mechanical arms, so he listened to them. He destroyed the wall behind him to escape the hospital to go back to his laboratory to see what had gone wrong. He saw the destroyed power generator in his lab and noticed that some of the wiring were tinkered around. Dr Octavious checked the security footage and saw 2 guys from Oscorp tinkering with the wiring. Dr Octavious was angry. He realised that Norman Osborn not only destroyed the invention that was going to change the world for the better, but also tried to kill Dr Octavious. Dr Octavious went crazy and created a plan to kill Norman Osborn for all of this. He decided that he could upgrade his arms further to make them killing machines. This was no longer about overthrowing Osborn. It was about killing him. The next day, Peter was washing his spider man suit in the washing machine and thought to himself why he was spider man in the first place? He stopped thinking about it as soon as he saw the news that Dr Octavious had escaped hospital. Peter was worried. What happened to him? He went over to MJ's place and told MJ she was right about things going wrong. Everybody had heard about what had happened at Dr Octavious' lab but no one knew oscorp was behind all of this. Meanwhile, at oscorp, Norman decided to test the new 'green serum' on a rat. The results were amazing. The rat was quicker, stronger, smarter and more fierce. The only side effects were that it's skin and fur was turning a little bit green. Norman knew that this was humanity's next big step to becoming stronger beings. This serum made them immune to many things like diseases. But the serum didn't seem ready to be tested on humans. Out of nowhere, a mechanical arm destroyed the glass windows of the laboratory and started choking Norman Osborn. Dr Octavious entered the building and destroyed the whole place, even the green serum. Dr Octavious took Norman Osborn and was heading to the bridge. Police cars were chasing Dr Octavious but Dr Octavious destroyed everything that was in his way. Nothing could stop him. Peter saw Dr Octavious on the news and decided that it was time to suit up. As Peter put his spider man suit on, Peter saw that his assignment that has been due for weeks now was only on its first paragraph. Peter knew that if he didn't finish his assignment now then he wouldn't have any time to finish the assignment later on and that would mean he would fail his classes. It was a tough choice for Peter to make. But he then saw on the news all of the destruction Dr Octavious was causing without hesitation, Peter put his spider man mask on and jumped out of his bedroom window to swing where dr Octavious was to confront him. Spider man swung to Norman's rescue and kicked Dr Octopus from behind. Dr Octavious dropped Norman Osborn. Norman Osborn was falling but spider man saved Osborn from the fall and took him to safety. Then we get a fight scene between Dr Octopus and spiderman in the streets of new york. Dr Octopus uses his mechanical arms to fight spiderman, but spider man dodged every hit Dr Octavious tried to hit him with. Spiderman tried webbing all of Octavious' arms together but all of the arms broke out of the webs with ease. Dr Octavious then smashed Spiderman into a car and they fought some more. Spiderman's costume got a bit damaged during the fight, but he ended up beating Dr Octavious in the end. The police took Octavious away. Spider man managed to take pictures of the fight since his camera was webbed onto a nearby building. Most of the shots were blurry but there was one good picture of spiderman punching dr Octavious in the face that looked good. Spider man swung to the daily bugle. It was busy there, even though it was a sunday. J Jonah Jameson was shouting at everyone about the octopus guy and to give him all the information they needed to write a news report on him. Peter walked in and gave Jameson the picture of spiderman and Dr Octavious fighting. Jameson congratulated Peter and gave him $150 for the pictures. Then Jameson made a headline on it 'MASKED MENACE VS OCTOPUS MAN'. Peter went home and felt a bit down. Even though he was getting a decent pay from the bugle, the person he looked up to was known as a criminal. That night, Peter swung across New York as spiderman to see the beautiful city lights and think to himself about his life. Spider man swung from building to building in his red and blue spiderman costume high above the streets. It was sad for peter. Nothing was going his way. He looked up at Oscorp tower. Why would Octavious attack Norman Osborn like that? Peter thought. Peter knew Norman Osborn personally but didn't see him very often. And Peter knew that Octavious used to be Osborn's partner but didn't know he wanted to kill him. Harry always said his dad was up to something. Spider man swung across the city. It was peaceful when he was just swinging across new york. The bright city in the night was so beautiful to see. Spider man swung all around the city. Spider man swung past all of the cars and trucks that were driving on the street and just thought to himself some more. Spider man swung past all of the skyscrapers that stood high above the ground and past all of the cars that were driving on the streets. Spider man finished his swing as he landed on the top of Oscorp tower which was in the very center of the city. Spider man started questioning himself. Why was he having so many thoughts on trying to stop being spider man? Peter decided to swing home and fix his torn suit by sewing the torn pieces up. Once Peter was done fixing the suit, it looked good as new. Aunt May heard him upstairs and sighed in relief knowing that Peter was ok. She wanted to come and tell Peter that he should stop being spider man but Peter was doing this for the good of the city. Aunt May just needed a bit more time to prepare to confront Peter and tell him to stop. The next day at school, everyone was freaking out about the Octopus man who attacked the city. Peter talked to Harry to see how he was going. Harry just felt relieved that his dad wasn't hurt at all. MJ talked to Peter because she knew he was feeling down about Octavious attacking the city yesterday. Peter said everything was fine and that he just wanted to move on from it. Back at Oscorp, Norman Osborn hired a scientist known as Dr Curt Connors, to reinvent and perfect the green serum that dr Octavious had destroyed the day before. Dr Connors decided to work on it. He was already working on something that could grow limbs back, but Osborn offered a handsome offer that he could not refuse. Oscorp was set back to square one since Octavious destroyed the green serum sample, but Norman knew a way around that. Meanwhile in jail, there was going to be a court case to prove whether Dr Otto Octavious is guilty or not. Dr Octavious had no money for lawyers since he spent all of his money on the power generator so he will have to defend himself for this one. After all, at least he did have evidence that Oscorp nearly killed him. But in Oscorp, Norman was one step ahead and told some of his workers to destroy any evidence Dr Octavious may have had before he could use it against him. They found security footage of the 2 guys messing with the wiring and decided to destroy that footage before Oscorp could be sued and Norman could go to jail. On the day of the court case, many people were there. Peter, MJ, Harry, aunt May and many others came to see what would go down. Dr Octavious tried to gather evidence to prove that Norman was guilty and not him, but since no one could find the footage of the lab, Dr Octavious was found guilty and was sentenced 20 years in prison for destroying a lot of things and the attempted murder of Norman Osborn. Dr Octavious was outraged. He was taken away to prison. Newsletters come out accusing Spider man working with Dr Octavious to try to murder Norman Osborn. Peter goes to the daily bugle and sees that headlines are busier than ever. Peter goes into J Jonah Jameson's office and J Jonah Jameson tells Peter that he needs to get pictures of Spider man being a criminal so that they could prove that Spider man is guilty and should go to prison along with Dr Octavious. Robbie comes into the office and tries to tell J Jona Jameson is not the criminal he sees him as and that they also need to give Peter a break. Jameson doesn't really care though because his only goal at the moment is accusing the wallcrawler of being a menace. Jameson says that people should start seeing spider man for who he truly is. A criminal. Then Jameson asks Peter if he has any pictures. Peter says that he doesn't have any. Jameson then tells Peter that he is not getting paid until he gives him one. Peter then finally gives Jameson a picture of Spider man. Jameson takes the picture from Peter and then comes up with the headline. 'MASKED MENACE SHOULD BE CHARGED FOR TERRORISING THE CITY'. Jameson then gives Peter his money and takes Peter out of the building. Dr Octavious got to the prison he would be living in for the rest of his life. As the police officers were trying to remove the arms off Dr Octavious, the arms went wild and killed all of the guards in the room. Dr Octavious escaped and came up with an even bigger plan to kill Osborn and destroy Oscorp forever. Police tried to shoot Octavious down but Octavious escaped. Then Dr Octavious escaped by going through the sewers to hide. At Oscorp, Norman Osborn was having a drink and relaxing. He thought he had finally gotten rid of Otto Octavious but he was wrong. Norman Osborn was completely unaware of what would happen to him in the near future. Meanwhile, Peter is with aunt May who is upset about everything that has happened to him. He felt really bad that Dr Octavious had to go to jail, but aunt May said that uncle Ben would want Peter to stay strong no matter what he was going through. Aunt May hugged Peter. Peter visited uncle Ben's grave that day. He talked to the grave as if he was talking to uncle Ben himself and Peter promised to stay strong for Ben and everyone else Peter cares about. Peter then went on a walk and realized that he was getting tired of being spider man and all of these responsibilities. He knew that he had to be a hero for the city but he just wanted to live a normal life. He never asked for spider powers. He had never asked for any of this. The only thing that kept Peter going was the very words uncle Ben had taught him. "With great power, there must also come great responsibility". But Peter wondered if he had too much responsibility. Peter didn't know what to do. So he just did the simple thing and just kept on being spider man because he was used to it.
