I'm laying on a blanket outside the manor in the Malfoy garden. The sun is shining, so I thought I'd work on my tan on my day off from work. The whole "working on my tan" part makes me smile and laugh. It was one of the first things I said when I started talking to Mr. Malfoy. Back then it sounded silly af, but now... It feels like that stupid line helped me get to where I am now; somewhere deep inside Lucius' heart. And I like it there, I love it there.

---

Lucius' back from work. He spotted you from one of the manor's many windows. He curls his lips up into a smile, his eyes resting on your still pale body. He also thinks about your "work on my tan" line. "You temptress, little witch," Lucius chuckles. He loves that you're here with him. That your intentions of getting into his pants also led into his heart. He likes to feel you inside his protective walls, guarding his pureblood pump. He loves the fact that you're the one that makes it beat stronger and faster than ever. He loves it so much it hurts. He loves you so much it hurts. He wants you to stay in there forever. He never wants to lose you. So he knows what he must do.

---

A shadow blocks the sun and I open my eyes. Lucius is standing right in front of me.
"Lucius, you're home!" I sit up with a big smile on my face.
"Yes, I... I just got home," he says.
"Is something wrong?" I ask.
"No, nothing. Everything's fine. I just... I got something I need to do, something I need to say," he looks at me.
I get a little anxious. I've never seen him like this before. I get up, taking his hands. "Whatever it is, I'm here for you," I say.
"I know. That's why I feel like this is so... So right," Lucius' piercing me with his intense blue eyes.
I stop breathing. I have no idea what he's about to do.

"I know you are young, that you got your whole life ahead of you... I'm not sure when I was planning on doing this, since there's never a right or wrong time, only in our minds... But since I already got this..." Lucius takes something out of his pocket and reveals a ring.
I put a hand over my mouth, shocked, but insanely happy.
He kneels before me. "Marcella Hatch, I would be very honoured if you'd share your future life with me. I promise I'll make you happy till the day I die," Lucius' eyes are blank. "Will you marry me?"
My eyes are blank too. "I wouldn't have a life if you weren't in it. You are my future. Yes, I'll marry you," I smile while tears of happiness stream down my face.
Lucius slides the ring gently on my finger.

I admire the ring while he gets up. It's a white gold ring, with two serpent snakes biting onto a green-ish-black diamond.
"It's so beautiful," I say.
"You're beautiful," Lucius says. "Remember the day we went shopping at The Wikked Witch for the first time? When I stepped outside for a little while?" he asks.
"Of course," I reply.
"That's when I got the ring. I just knew I had to have a ring at hand, because facing the rest of my time without you, was unimaginable, and I just knew I had to ask how you'd spend the rest of yours. I love you so much."
"I love you too!" I say.
We embrace each other before we seek each others lips and start to make out. We stand in a hot embrace for a long, long time before we manage to break apart, trying to catch our breaths.
"It's a gorgeous day," I say. "Care to join me in the sun?" I ask Mr. Malfoy.
"There's nothing else I'd rather do," he says. "Besides, I better start working on my tan too," he smirks. Then we both laugh out loud.

---

It's Monday, and I'm home alone in the manor. Lucius' at work. A couple of weeks have gone by since our engagement. I've told my friends, and they couldn't be more happy for us. We haven't given the wedding much though yet, but we've set a date. It's going to be a winter wedding, and I just know it's gonna be the best day of my life.

I'm wandring around on the third floor. I've lived in the manor for some time now, but there are still parts of the house I've never explored. Curiosity might have killed the cat, but I'm a witch, and besides, Lucius have never given me any restrictions regarding the manor, telling me that there are some parts that are unsafe.

All of a sudden I hear a slight rumble coming from a very dark and eerie looking door. I swallow hard. It would probably be wise to turn around and wait till Lucius gets back home, but something is drawing me towards the door. Like a low, enchanting whisper.

I open the door slowly, and scream when a big rat comes running out the door between my legs. I'm not afraid of rats, but I didn't see it coming. My heart is pounding in my chest, and I try to collect myself after being startled. Then I smile at my own silliness. The rat probably caused the rumble inside the room. I don't feel like taking a closer look at what's inside the room, but the whisper is back and keeps dragging me into the room.
Like I'm under a spell, I walk further and further into the glooming darkness. I suddenly remember my wand and say "Lumos!" The light at the end of my wand highlights the room, and what it reveals make me gasp.

Shelves and shelves filled with bottles and jars of all kinds of disgusting and creepy looking things. Skulls, fingers, eyeballs... Blood, and other goos in many colors. Dead plants, spices and deceased insects. A chill runs down my spine, and I get goosebumps. I want to leave, but now that I'm here... I look around the room some more and see machines build for torture, still coverd in blood. Now that I've started breathing again, I can smell the foul stench hanging in the air. Why haven't I smelled this before? Maybe the door is sealed with somekind of strong magic, keeping this room's horror inside?

Suddenly I notice a tall, black closet. I don't want to open it, but the whispering is calling me, and I can't do anything else but obey it's command. I rest my hands on the closet's handles for a split second before I open it. I gasp and stumble backwards, falling onto the floor, looking up at the macabre sight inside the closet. A black cloak, with the shape of a person, with it's face covered by a horryfing mask, is looking back at me.

I want to scream. I want to get up and run, but I'm unable to make my body do anything. The whispering continues. It has completely enthralled me, consuming me with it's gruesome aura. "Stop," I say feebly. "Stop! Go away! Please," I plead. "Leave me alone!" I feel my body getting cold, numb. It's like a frozen claw is grasping my heart. Choked up on fear and despair, I faint.
