Izuku's POV
My eyes flutter open and the first thing I notice is that I'm alone. I can hear the tv going in the living room though, so I'm assuming My purple haired roommate is in there.
My stomach rumbles loudly before I look at my clock. I was only asleep a couple hours, but it's a bit passed dinner time. I get up and stretch out my muscles, I hope he hasn't been waiting around hungry.
I open my door and walk out, my eyes automatically falling on a head of messy lavender. I don't think he's noticed me yet. His face is set in a scowl, deeper than usual, and his brows are pinched creating a deep crease in the center of them. He's not even watching the tv, following his gaze, he's just staring at the wall.
I take a step out of my doorframe and clear my throat to alert him of my presence. As his eyes snap to me they soften, just in time for my stomach to let out another loud growl. It earns a chuckle from him and a blush from me.
"I went out and got us some food. Thought I'd wait for you before I ate." He smiled as he got up and headed to the kitchen, pulling out a couple of to-go boxes from the fridge.
...
We'd both finished eating when he sighed, I looked up and noticed that the brooding expression from earlier had come back. "Everything ok? You can talk to me you know. You've already done a lot for me so..."
He looks up at me as I trail off, Shinsou runs a hand through his hair before he begins. "I saw the angry blonde when I was getting our food." My heart slammed against my chest. There wasn't another fight was there?
"He asked me to let you know that he wants to talk to you about things." He continued. "He seemed to be pretty genuine but I don't know the guy so... who knows. He wasn't yelling though." He chuckles sourly
It takes a moment for me to take in what he's said. "Bakugo wants to... talk? He asked you?" He's not known for talking or asking. If he has a problem, he brutes his way through it. If he has a disagreement, he yells... and brutes his way through it. If he wants something, he gets it no second thoughts. It's always been like that.
Shinsou just nodded. "He said I could come with if it made you feel more comfortable."
I'm sure my face reflected the confusion and shock I was feeling. "Kacchan. Katsuki Bakugo. Compromised...just to to talk to me?" I was completely taken aback, although Bakugo was never one for tricks and lies, this felt too surreal.
There was the huff of a silent laugh beside me on the couch, Shinsou lightly shook his head with a small amused smile cracking his usually stoic features. "That's what happened yeah. You can think about it before making a choice though. This is going to be on your terms, not his. I made that clear."
I couldn't help the wide grin the spread across my face. It was a foreign, but warm, feeling having someone think about me and what would be good for me. Someone to put effort into taking some of the pressure out of things and lift the weight on my shoulders even just a little.
"I don't think I have to take any time. If you're there, I think I can do this." My words are genuine, and earn a feint blush across his pale cheeks.
His eyes widen a bit, seemingly just as surprised at my words as I am. "Yeah I'll be there Mido." He smiles.
My eyes glance around his features, they're sharp and angular. His pale skin is flawless aside from the dark circles that have made a permanent home underneath his eyes, yet they don't take away from how handsome he is. The blush and the slight smile bring a brightness to his face that makes my heart flutter.
That smile...
My eyes train on his lips."Mido are-" his words are cut off as I press my lips to his. My stomach ties in knots and my heart leaps into my throat. Anxiety sets in about the impulsive move of just made.
I go to pull away and apologize, but before words could slip out of my mouth, I felt a hand at the nape of my neck and then I was pulled in to another kiss.
Our lips melded together so perfectly that it sent the most satisfying tingle through my whole body. My hands cupped his face as I felt him lean in, gently pushing me down into the seat of the couch as he effectively dominated the kiss.
I felt him nibble at my bottom lip, eliciting a soft moan as I parted my lips for him. His tongue wasted no time slipping between them to meet mine. My hands move up to tangle in the lavender hair of his, tugging as I feel his free hand slip under the hem of my shirt and ever so lightly snake up my torso.
I shiver and pull away from the kiss to release a shaky sigh. Shinsou takes the opportunity to to trail light kisses from my cheek to my jaw, taking some time to nibble at my earlobe before continuing down to my neck.
He nips softly at my neck, earning another shiver as I mewl underneath him before he pulls away to lock eyes with mine. The both of us panting, blushing messes.
He cracks a wide, happy grin that makes my heart skip. "I wasn't expecting that to happen." He chuckles before shifting us to lay side by aside on the couch.
"U-uh. Yeah. Sorry about that." I half heartedly apologize, my boldness from before dissipating as my heart calmed down.
He pulls me closer to him and nuzzles his face into the crook of my neck. "Don't apologize."
With a full stomach, and with all the emotional events of the day, we both end up drifting off.
Before I fall all the way to sleep, the very last thought that crosses my conscious mind is about how I couldn't be happier that my soulmate is as kind and as thoughtful as the perpetually tired purplette holding me so carefully tight right now.
