I have no idea what to name these chapters, lol. There's no ship in this chapter.

WARNINGS: sad Roman, sad Remus, light cussing, magic forest?(ok, I have to say, I had no idea on where I was going with that so it's left unexplained), Virgil breaking the fourth wall. Lemme know if I missed something.

The twins were playing in a meadow, near a forest. "Remus!!" Roman called to his brother, "lets play hide and seek!!"

"Alright brother, we'll play but only if I get to be the hider!!!" Remus called back.

Roman shut his eyes, turning away from his brother, "1, 2, 3..." Roman counted till 20 then called out, "ready or not here I come!!"

-12 years later-

"Roro, where are we going?" Patton asked Roman as they drove to a place unknown to Patton and Logan.

Roman relied, "you'll see in a minute  Pat." Five minutes later, they arrived at a meadow, that was near a forest.

Patton gasped, "wow, this place is so pretty!!"

"Indeed it is, Pat. I must ask, Roman, why did you bring us here?" Logan questioned. He turned around to see Roman with a sad look on his face.

"Last time I was here," Roman started, "I was with my brother."

"You have a brother?" Logan asked.

He replied softly, "Yes, I did, Logan. His name was Remus."

"Um. What did you guys do while you were here?" Patton asked, trying to get him to continue his story.

"We played hide and seek. I was the seeker and he was the hider," he went silent for a moment before continuing,"but I guess he's still hiding..." Quiet tears were now falling down his face. Patton ran to him, tackling him in a hug, leading both of them to fall to the ground. Roman buried his face into Patton's shoulder, returning the hug. Logan silently walked over and joined the two.

Patton said softly, "I'm so, so sorry, Ro."

"It's all my fault too!!" Roman yelled, sobbing into Patton shoulder, "I suggested we play hide and seek. Such a stupid game!!"

Patton spoke firmly, moving Roman so he could see Roman's eyes, "don't ever blame yourself, Roman. You were kids, there was not much you could have done." Patton pulled him back into the hug.

He got quieter, "I wonder where he is, if he's even alive still.."

"Thinking about the what if's are not going to make anything better," Logan stated, "We should head back and maybe, get some lunch on the way home. I don't think any of us feel like cooking," Logan stated, getting up from where the three sat. Patton stood up, helping Roman up as well. They walked back to the car in  comfortable silence.

Remus watched the whole event from the woods. Remus smiled sadly, knowing full well he would never be able to return home.

"Remus, you alright?" a voice asked from behind. Remus turned around to see Janus looking at him with a concerned look.

Remus replied, "Yeah, I'm all right. Just thinking about my family, that's all."

Janus let out a dry laugh, "Damn woods, never gonna let us leave." Janus sighed, "we were just stupid kids, who all decided to wonder into a forest."

Remus turned away from Janus, "Ever wonder, how many people walk by and think this is just a normal forest?"

Janus started, "I-"

"12 people a day on average," Virgil said, dropping down from a tree branch.

"Holy shi- how long have you been there?!" Janus yelled.

Virgil shrugged, "The author wanted to add all the known sides into the story, but sort of forgot about me and Logan has almost no lines in the story."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Janus asked.

Remus giggled and stated loudly, while spinning around to face Janus, "Nothing you need to worry about, JJ!!"

"wait you know what- You know what nevermind. Lets head home," Janus said. He started head back to whatever home was, without waiting for a response. The other two looked at each other and ran after Janus, laughing about how Janus had no idea what they were talking about.

684 words. Not too bad for my first one-shot. Ima go finish the homework I've been avoiding and eat my caramel popcorn. Have a good day/afternoon/night, everyone!!
