The King

"We've been here a couple of days...." Kimmy mutters as looks at the small crystal in front of her. She was sitting at the kitchen table, her oldest brothers, Leo and Raph, were standing in front of the TV, arguing about something, again. Donnie and Mikey were sitting on the floor, snacking on some chips, and sitting on color-coordinated pillows, Splinter was sitting in a recliner, and April was on the couch. "And I'm no closer to finding a solution than when I started,"

"You've been staring at that thing since we got here," Mikey says looking over at Kimmy. 

"What do you suggest I do then?" Kimmy says with a sigh as she leans back in her chair.

"I'll tell ya what we should do," Raph says, getting Kimmy to look over at him and Leo. "We need to go back down there and flush those stinkin' Foot Ninjas outta our sewers, and I mean flush," He ends it while punching the palm of his left hand with his right hand.

"We don't even know what they're doing down there," Leo says glaring at Raph.

"I don't care!" Raph says back.

"All we know is that they're looking for our lair....we need more to go off of," Kimmy says with a shrug.

"So, you should care," Leo snaps back at Raph.

"My sons, and daughter, you have thwarted their many schemes, and defeated their master," Splinter says, getting everyone to look over at him. "Clearly they are searching for our lair."

"I was right," Kimmy says smiling as she turned back to the crystal she took.

"I thought with the Shredder gone we'd seen the last of those bozos," Mikey says looking a little worried. Kimmy turns and looks at Mikey. "Do you really think they could find our lair? I just got my room the way I like it, and my Ninja Trading Collection is just laying out in the open, if they take that, I'll...I'll-"

"Relax Mikey," Donnie says as Mikey had started to freak out. "With all the Techno Camouflage and security devices I've installed-"

"We've installed," Kimmy says looking over from the kitchen table. "I helped a little with that,"

"Okay, we've installed," Donnie says rolling his eyes. "There's no way they'll find our place."

"Yeah, our home is perfectly hidden," Kimmy says with a smile.

"Bar-B-Que soy chip?" Donnie asked Mikey, reaching into a bag of chips that sat between them.

"Fire away bro," Mikey says, Donnie flicks the chip into Mikey's open mouth.

"I will never understand why you guys like those," Kimmy says as she stands up and stretches. "Then again, it is good for someone like Donnie to eat those," She walks over to Leo and Raph.

"Those Nin-jerks are keeping us from our home," Raph says as Kimmy stood next to him. "We should be down there smacking heads."

"running into battle without knowledge or preparation is foolish," Splinter says from where he was sitting.

"Then we should be getting knowledge on our enemies," Kimmy says. "Instead of sitting here twiddling our thumbs. I want to be able to go home, and sleep in my bed,"

"Sometimes it is best to sit still, the answers will come," Splinter says and Kimmy rolls her eyes and turns away, crossing her arms.

"Master Splinter is right," Leo says turning and looking at Raph, Kimmy turned and looked at Leo. "Besides home is where we're all together as a family, that's what really matters," Kimmy opened her mouth to say something, more than likely sarcastic, but was cut off when April clears her throat and makes them look at her.
