Close Quarters ✧ [Bucky Barnes]

Chapter 7- Back to Reality.

"So this is where you guys lived" Nat said as you started gathering things.

"There so much like personal stuff," Wanda said as she scanned the living room. "(Y/N) when was this picture taken?"

"Eh Christmas Eve, we were at a party and Rachel, the suspect, took it for us. Yeah that was before we kissed and-"

"YOU KISSED?!" Both of them yell as they jumped off the sofa.

"It was more of a 'hey don't blow the cover' thing. We had been bug planting and we accidentally walked under mistletoe."

You ran upstairs to change and still called out stuff to the girls. You told the about the forehead kisses, how he called you doll, the cuddles in bed while we were sleeping and how you helped him through his nightmare and stayed up with him. Wanda was still curious as she made her way to the kitchen. She picked up a picture frame and you walked down the stairs, in Bucky's hoodie.

"(Y/N) what's this-" she turned and looked a small bit shocked. "That's Bucky's hoodie"

"Ye well all mine are dirty, he let's me use them don't worry"

"Um okay.... When is this from?" She handed you the frame as Nat came into the room.

"Oh that was the first night, there was a beach party and the suspects invited us so we had to go. That was a funny night. In this picture were walking home and one of the neighbours asked us if we wanted a photo together"

"(Y/N) you're wearing Bucky's jacket in this." 

"Oh I know, I was cold and he offered. That night we watched a movie and I fell asleep on him. He carried me to bed and put a hoodie on me... I'm gonna go get my stuff from upstairs, I'll send Sadie down"

I ran up the stairs to start packing up the bedroom, while Nat and Wanda discussed what they think happened while we were here, undercover. Tony, Steve, Thor and Bucky came back home and Bucky ran up to help me pack the rest of our stuff up. 

"Did Bucky talk to you guys about (Y/N)?"

"No we were asking him stuff but he didn't really answer"

Nat explained everything that you had told them to the boys, while Wanda showed off the pictures we had lying around. Steve pulled out a black phone, which definitely wasn't't his, it was Bucky's. Steve went straight to Bucky's camera roll to find it was filled with pictures of me and Bucky but then he stumbled on a video. He watched it first and then played it for the group.

"When was this taken?" Tony asked.

"Christmas Day. He built her this blanket fort to make he have a good Christmas away from us." Steve replied.

"JARVIS, hack the bugs in here I wanna see what really went on." Tony called out.

He pulled up footage from all the time we were here together. Showing off every kiss, hug, breakfast, movie and sing along to the team. They were shocked that we had gone from hating each other, to this. Back upstairs, Bucky and I were still gathering things.

"Have you seen my white hoodie it had blue stripes-"

"Nope I haven't" you responded with a giggle. He turned around to see you wearing it.

"Your gonna have to stop wearing my hoodies when we go back, you know that right"

"Doesn't mean I will" you joked.

It looked like Bucky was looking for something and before I could ask he was gone downstairs in search of whatever it was.

"Eh has anyone seen a watch, black leather strap." He was worried and stressed about it.

"Ye on the hall table, why"

He rushed over and slapped it back on his wrist, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Buck, where did you get that it's a really nice watch"

"Oh (Y/N) got it for me for Christmas. I got her that bracelet she seems to never take off"

He moved to packing the kitchen up and getting everything sorted out. Before long we had all we needed and were loading it into the car to drive back up. We came back inside to talk with the group before heading off.

"Okay, cars loaded and Sadie is ready to go" you told them.

"Yeah, we're all driving back. The other Avengers needed the jet so we get to go in two cars" Tony explained.

"Ye sure no problem. Bucky and I had plans to stop at a diner on the way, best vanilla milkshake I've ever had" 

"Oh ye no problem" Tony said back to us.

We loaded into the car. The car could only had 5 seat and Sadie was no longer a puppy so she took one of them. Nat and Tony decided to ride with us and we set out on our journey back to New York. Soon enough, we arrived at the diner. 

"I'll be back in a second, just need the bathroom" I left and the waitress came over.

"What can I get you guys started?"

"I'll have the burger with a Diet Coke. Eh she's in the bathroom but, the burger with extra cheese and a vanilla milkshake"

Tony and Nat ordered and you came back.

"Oh yeah I ordered for you, you wanted the burger with extra cheese and a vanilla milkshake right?"

"Yeah that exactly, thank you!"

I caught up with Tony and Nat on what had been happening while I was gone. When we were finished we got in the car once more, to make our way home. I managed to get a bit of sleep before I finally reached the tower. I walked in to see everyone waiting around for Bucky and my return.

"Look guys she's back!" Sam called out.

Everyone rushed over to hugs and to say hi, when Sadie ran in the tower.

"You got a dog!?"

'No, Tony made us get a dog. She's great. This is Sadie."

Scott seemed to be preoccupied with playing with the dog, instead of actually listening to anything Tony was saying.

"Tomorrow night we will host a welcome home party for these two so, scatter and do what you want"

I brought all my stuff upstairs to my room, which I haven't been in in 5 months. I put my clothes in my wardrobe and cleaned up the room, to make it feel better. The night was spent with friends, catching up and drinking. It was all great until I had to go to bed. The bed was gonna just have me in it and it was weird, seeing as Bucky would always had been with me. He slept on my floor, just Bucky, Clint and me had this floor. Clint never really slept here as he wanted to be with his kids, so usually it was just me and Bucky. Anyway, I need to try to sleep.
