Chapter 7: determination to fight

Gokudera looks at the onigiri that he buys at the convenience store. He unwraps the wrapping before slowly eating it. He doesn’t know what to do anymore. Sometime right now he feels that he is the dumbest among all of them. He can’t even figure a way to get back to their world.

“Juudaime,” Gokudera fists his knuckle, remembering how his precious Tsuna was crying when they depart.

“Happy birthday, Juudaime,” Gokudera exclaimed meanwhile Tsuna looks shocked as he just wake up from his sleep.

“Today is my birthday?” asks Tsuna confusedly. He picks up his calendar. Oh right today is 14th October.

“Yes, Juudaime. What do you want for your birthday?” asked Gokudera. His imaginary dog ear and tail starts to appear. Tsuna places his finger on his chin, thinking of something.

“Gokudera-kun, I want something that only you can do,” said Tsuna, smile seeing Gokudera’s reaction. He could see how Gokudera’s eye twinkling.

“What is it, Juudaime? I can even cross seven seas to get you what you want,” erupted volcano appears behind Gokudera, indicate his passion to grant his Juudaime’s wish.

“From now on I want you to call me Tsuna,” smiled Tsuna as he gets up from his bed.

“But that would be impolite of me if I don’t address you formally, Juudaime,”

“Who care about impoliteness? We all will always be together. We are friends right, Hayato?” said Tsuna with cheerful smile. Gokudera blushed because that was the first time Tsuna called him by his first name. Gokudera thinks if Juudaime take the first step for their relationship to get even closer, why does he hesitate to follow the step?

“Yeah, you’re right. We’re friend and will always be together, forever, Tsuna,” smiles Gokudera. Proud to himself as he sees Tsuna’s face beams with happiness.

Suddenly, Gokudera stood up with his hand fist on both his side. He inhale deeply, face facing up the sky. The people walking in the sideways, looks at him with big question mark.

“Just you wait. I will come back to you, Tsuna!! I will come back, with everyone!!” Gokudera shout to the night sky. “And then we never leave you again,” whispered Gokudera as he slowly walk back and leans his back against the wall and slide downward before sitting on the floor. He brings his hand to his face, trying to hold up his tears.

“Onii-chan, take one of these,” suddenly a kid voice sound beside him. He looks up to the voice source only to see a boy age 7 years old, offers him one of his lollipop. Gokudera looks questionably to the boy.

“Onii-chan must be missing someone, right? Did he go to faraway place? Tama-chan’s Mama goes to faraway place too and Tama-chan misses her a lot. Papa told that Tama-chan’s Mama become a beautiful star, watching Tama-chan from above. But, Tama-chan’s Mama don’t leave Tama-chan alone, because Mama sends Okaa-san to take care of Tama-chan,” that boy smile before taking Gokudera’s hand and place the lollipop to his hand. A woman shouts his name and before the boy goes away, he turns to Gokudera once again.

“Tama-chan bet that person also misses Onii-chan. He probably is waiting for Onii-chan to return home. He also watching Onii-chan like how Tama-chan’s Mama watching Tama-chan,” said the boy before he runs to the woman. He walks hand in hand with that woman and a man appear after that, they smiled happily before disappear to the crowd.
