Mohammed and his royal family arrived at the Mehra's household for the first step for the traditional Indian wedding. Indian weddings can last an average of three days or more.On the first night, a priest often performs the Ganesh pooja, a ceremony that usually happens at home with only the couple, the bridal party, and close relatives in attendance.
Both couples were dressed in their traditional Indian wedding attire. So as their wedding guests.
Zara spent 3 hours getting dressed with the help of her mother and her friends. As for Mohammed, he got dressed up at a 4-star hotel where he rented out the entire floor for himself and his royal family members.

Just weeks ago, Mohammed proposed to Zara at a lavish engagement party at Mehra's house. At their engagement party, several rituals are performed, including the exchanging of rings, the formal declaration of a wedding date and time, and, traditionally, the welcoming of the bride's family into the groom's home. A formal commitment is made between the two people getting engaged and vows are exchanged to solidify the engagement.
