Chapter 3:

"Are you serious?" Mercedes asks in disbelief.

"Dead serious, he was the one I bumped into."

As if he heard me, his head snapped in our direction and his gaze met mine. Then I don't know what came over me but had the strange impulse to do something childish to him like stick my tongue out at him or something. So I did and it cause him to stumble and then he narrowed his eyes at me. The girl with auburn hair then whispers something to him that made him smile maliciously at me and all three of them start in the direction of our table.

"Dude, they are coming this way. What do we do?" Dustin hissed at me.

I shrug and then grab my bag and head towards the school not wanting to associate with those three at all. I slipped into my first class which was honors English and sat in the row by the window. But then the guy with the blonde walked in with his dark haired friend and sat down right next to me.

'What do they want' I thought to my self.

I turn my head head when I hear a voice say,

"Hello, my name is James Night and this," then he gestured towards the blonde guy, "is Ash Montgomery."

I stare at them for a fraction of a second and then reply in my super happy peppy voice that I learned from my sisters friends,

"Hi! I am Jamilynn Rae Carter but every on calls me Jamie. Did you have a hard time find this class? Cause I sure wouldn't want you to get lost or anything."

Ash shot me a glare as if he knew I had meant the complete opposite of what I said and I just smiled cluelessly at him. Then class begun and it was great except that every few seconds I would catch Ash smirking at me. When the bell rung I got up and headed to my next classes which was free of any of those three up until lunch.

I sat down next Heath and Mark as we listen to Rashel gush about how the two new guys had asked about me to everyone.

"J!" Rashel and Mercedes screamed in unison.

"Hmmm?..." I say looking up.

"Aren't you interested in why they asked about you?" Mercedes asked me.

"No why?" I say completely bored cause honestly I don't care.

"Because two gorgeous guys just asked me and Rashel if you were single and shot each other a death glare. Dude, you are so lucky to have those two after you they are hot!" Mercedes said in a dream like voice.

I restrained my self from rolling my eyes and started to eat my lunch. Everyone just stared at me for a second like I was nuts then all the guys at the table except for Mark who was chuckling under his breath and said

"That's our J not caring in the slightest about the new guys. They are just pretty faces to her."

Then our table erupted into laughter. Until Colton showed up with his friends and Ash and James right behind them.

"Hey J, I got a favor to ask you." Colton said to me.

"Coley I am not going to do your homework for you. You need to learn how to count by your self." I replied sweetly.

Everyone started chuckling and Colton's cheeks turned pink and he glared at me.

"Hahaha, very funny. That's not the favor. I wanted to ask is I could borrow your car later. But since you were mean I am taking it and not caring what you say." He said and the spun on his heal and stalked away with his friends and the other two following in his wake.

'Good riddance.' I thought to myself.

The rest of the school day was un eventful except for the fact that Ash was in everyone of my afternoon classes. I ignored him every chance I got but no matter what i did to make him stay away from me, he would always sit next to me with smirk on his face. Maybe he just can't take the hint I don't like him.

'Whatever I just want to go home. But I have to find Colton so I can leave.' I thought to myself.

Then I heard a voice in my head say,

"Hello Jamilynn."

'What in the world,' I thought.

That's it no more caffeine for me, I have officially gone crazy now. Then I heard chuckling in my head before everything went silent. I shook my head and sat on the Hummers bumper until my siblings got there and we went home. But on the way home I noticed a car with very darkly tinted windows following us. It was probably nothing so I just got out of the car and then walked up to my room to change and do my homework. Then I fell asleep.
