I took a deep breath, running my fingers through my hair. "Just remember what Dean told you about flirting. Pretend to have confidence, bite your lip, maybe give a smile." I reminded myself. "You've fought angels and demons. You survived Hell and Purgatory. Talking to a cute girl can't be that difficult, can it?" I turned to approach Piper, who was working on arts and crafts.

I sat down beside her, causing her took over at me with a smile. "Hey Grace!"

I grinned. "Heya Piper! What's up?"

"Not much, you?"

"Oh you know, just admiring the artwork. Honestly, you might be the best one I've seen all day."

She smiled. "Are you trying to flirt?"

"Yes, is it working?" I chewed on the inside of my cheek.

"Maybe," She brushed the hair out of her face, giving me butterflies. "Did you fix up your wings?"

I nodded. "Yeah, actually. I usually don't do much, since most people can't see them. But, you're a special case."

"Oh really? And why's that?"

Rubbing the back of my neck, I hesitantly explained. "Well, uh, I have a special kind of blood in me that gives me wings, only people can't really see them, unless they have a more," I thought of the best way to explain it. "Supernatural bond with me. These types of bonds are basically embedded into our souls-"

"So we're soulmates?"

"Yeah, but it's up to you if you want to accept that."

Piper went quite for a minute, like she was contemplating that. My nervousness increased the longer the silence hung in the air. After about a minute, she spoke up again.

"How about we go on a date? Spend some quality alone time together, learn more about each other, you know, date stuff." She offered

I grinned like a little kid. "Ok! How about I pick you up from your cabin at six, and we can go to the beach?"

Piper smiled, nodding. "I'd like that."

"Ok, well, I'll see you later." I said, getting up to go tell Gabe.

"Bye Grace!"
