Chapter 1 : Moving?!

The sudden ring of my alarm startled me awake. I checked my smart clock for the day. Saturday. Oh great another chaotic day. A loud crash was heard from the kitchen was heard, closely followed by shouting and occasional cursing. 

'Yup they are back at it again.' I thought to myself and slid off my bed. I made my way to the bathroom and started brushing my teeth and showered. I put on a red gryffindor hoodie and black leggings since we were going to stay home and be chaotic all day. Might as well be comfy. Lastly i put on some hello kitty socks and grabbed my phone from my bedside table. I recheck if i had everything then locked the door. And if you're wonder why i need to lock the door if I'm home...trust me when you have eight nosy siblings, you might never know what happens. And I'm not counting the oldest three since they are rarely home.

I padded my way down the huge ass stairs and to one of our many kitchens. I honestly have no idea why we have so many rooms and why we live in such a big house or a so called mansion. I mean yeah we are twelve people but a large house will suffice but nope. We basically live in a goddamn castle. Pushing my thoughts aside I took a turn towards the kitchen expecting a huge mess. But i was shocked. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!

Lilian and Hailey were on the shoulders of the oldest set of twins, Jasper and Spencer, having a chicken fight. Hudson and Caspian were in the middle of throwing eggs and tomatoes at each other. Noah was yeeting flour everywhere. There were food stains all over the kitchen and oh hell to the yes it was stinky! My eyes widened as I realized that I myself have to clean this all up. None of them will help me, except maybe Noah and Lilian.

"Guys! What in the world is this?! It's not even eight in the morning!" I shouted and then came to an abrupt halt. All of them nervously turned to me and tried to make an innocent face. But that is not fooling me. I can see right through the innocence that they are devils spawned from hell. Spencer and Jasper let the girl off of them.

"H-hey Maddie." Caspian started nervously. "What Caspian?!" I snapped at him and my breathing got heavy at how angry I was. I heard Jasper and Spencer whispering to themselves, "Oh she brought the full name strike. She's mad." I narrowed my eyes at them and said in a dangerous soft voice "Yes Jasper and Spencer Baudelaire I am mad!"

"Sis stop worrying. I'm sure the maids can clean up after us-" His sentence was cut short when i started going off at them. "Oh yeah. And will you lot tell Luca so he will let the maids help me huh? Do you think it's that easy to clean a whole damn kitchen alone? I haven't seen you move a finger every time you make a mess. If you only let the maids do the cooking we wouldn't be here. But no. You just had to. And when I bring up Luca, you all chicken out. Why he isn't gonna eat you. Nor will Oscar  or Justin or Ryan. You know what why am I even bringing them up? They haven't been home in two months and are god knows where handling god knowns what business. Non può essere sempre così!" Yeah I was basically fuming.

"What can't always be this way?" came the deep voice of my brother. Ryan. I thought as I turned around. But to my surprise, Oscar, Justin and Luca were there too.  Everyone immediately ran to them and the youngests hugged them tightly. I was debating on whether to join them or not. Then i thought 'Screw it. They're my brothers' and ran over to them and pulled them in a tight hug. I was always close with the oldest four so it was harder for me when they said they will not be here for two whole months. "I missed you guys." I said as tears brimmed my eyes.

"Jeez Mads are you bipolar or something?" Hudson said and they all sniggered. And ofcourse the ones who were not present there beforehand were confused. "What have we missed?" Ryan asked as we went to sit on the couch and Justin pulled me to his lap. Hailey and Lily were seated on Ryan and Oscar's laps too. {Btw guys don't start saying sweet home alabama because I always sit on my older brother's lap and its a sign of affection and not anything romantic. Just a sweet sibling gesture. and I find it quite cute. Anyways moving on...}

 "Oh you'll love this. I wake up to my alarm and hear sounds coming from the kitchen. I come downstairs to see a monstrosity made of what used to be our kitchen." I said with a huff and crossed my arms around my chest and puffed up my cheeks. They all started laughing. It felt nice to have the whole of my family together. But back to the matter at hand. I see even Luca cracking a smile.

It's been especially tough for him. We lost our parents when we I was six. I was hard on all of us but since he was the oldest, he was so close tp crumbling. Taking care of a bunch of kids as a teenager himself wasn't pleasing and some of my brothers were teenagers hence drama. But luckily there was someone to help him. Yes I'm talking about my sister in law, Esmerelda. They were dating back then and since she came from a similar mafia background as us, he confided in her and she helped a lot. They decided that they wouldn't find anyone better than each other so they tied the knot when they were 25.

"Oh come on! Not you four too!" I said whining and in disbelief. "It's okay baby sis. I'll make sure they clean the kitchen themselves." Luca promised, smiling. "Hey! You have two more sisters who are children and you call me a baby?!" I scoffed again. To this Hailey and Lily shouted protests.

"Speaking of babies, where is our pregnant sister in law?" Noah asked smirking. We all heard a scoff. "Finally. I thought you lot completely forgot about me. "Esme!" we all said and hurried to her, "Careful!" Luca reminded. Esme gave each of us a hug and whispered in my ear "It's so nice to see you." To me was the older sister that I never had. She helped me in my early teenage year and taught me the things like a mother should. And we always shared our secrets with each other. "You too Es." I whispered back.

"Guys can you all get back here?" Oscar called and we all filed into the lounge area again. Just then I got a message notification in my phone that some was videocalling me. I pressed the answer button and heard the cheerful voice of my best friend Aurelia. "Girl where are you?! We promised to hangout remember. Sky is getting hangry again." she said whining. "Alright alright I'll be there. Gimme a sec to grab my coat." I said. She nodded in response and hung up. I turned to everyone who were already looking at me. "Erm...you all can continue. Tell me when I get back. I got to go. See ya." With that I grabbed my coat from the holder beside the door and ran off. I probably wasn't that important of a talk anyways.

I spent a few hours with my besties, getting drinks and catching up. Finally i returned home and everyone was still there...but they seemed more gloomy? Even the chaotic twins. I walked in and said "Hey. What's up. Why are you all sulking?" 

"Come sit down Mads." Justin said. I did and Luca started again. "Look when we weren't here, one of our bases was attacked." What've we got to do with this. "We had a meeting with captains of five squads and we decided it's best if we changed your location." he finished. "What are you-" I was cut off by Spencer "Ci trasferiamo in Florida"

"What?!" I was in utter shock. Why are we moving. I've lived my whole life here in Idaho. And now suddenly I have to leave everyone I know, my best friends, my schoolmates, everyone who knows me and move across the country to Florida?! "We can't leave mom and dad." I said in tears. My parents were buried here and I always went to see them. They all gave me sympathetic looks and that's when it settled in. This is very much real and we will move. And the worst part is that I can't do anything to stop it. 

"No" I said softly and ran upstairs and unlocked the door, then slamming the door of my room shut.

I realized this part is like     story Lifr with 12 brothers. I just wanna say that their story is absolutely amazing and one of my favorites. I actually got inspired by that story but most chapters starting from here will be different so please don't comment that I plagiarized their story.
