"It doesn't even make sense. I know, my education is very important, but I think I am being taught about the wrong topics", a child's voice said irritated, her words sounding as if she was prepared for a further argument. "Well yes, but do you care to explain about which topics you disagree?", a nervous, yet annoyed male voice responded.
"Yes, of course. See, apart from having the privilege of getting an education, I think that you do not have any clue for what you have to prepare me. Even though I am just his daughter, just a girl, my father has no heir, and I am his only descendant. I know, he won't die soon, but we all know how vulnerable he is. My point is, that if I should ever take over his duties, I should have more knowledge about topics like economy or politics than about knitting. In conclusion, I shall ask my father to have a talk with you so I can get my proper education", the child replied, leaving her teacher speechless. "You may think that make comprehensible statements for a girl, but I stand by my words", she said convinced, crossing her arms.
...for a girl? A girl?
"I will think about it. No- you have already gotten it in your mind, so I will talk to your father later", the man said, still sounding nervous.
"I will too. And judging by the daylight, it's noon now, so I bid you farewell for the day", the girl said, leaving her teacher behind.
"What was I thinking? Why did it feel strange to call myself girl? I am a girl, after all...aren't I?", the kid thought, being confused by her own thoughts.
"You father is awaiting you in the big hall, Her serene Highness", a servant told them.
"Thank you. Tell him that I will be taking the way through the garden, so he should expect me in about ten minutes", the kid replied. The servant bowed and made her way.
"I have been waiting for you, a servant told me that you would take longer, but for now, I am glad that you are here", a male voice spoke. It was no other than the voice of Roderich Edelstein, the personification of Austria.
"Vienna, I see, you have spoken with your teacher, haven't you? It is also in my favor, because I also want my only child to be educated in what it means t be of royal status. So, as someone like us, you shall be informed about the current happenings in your lands", the man spoke to his daughter, Vienna.
"Yes, I have. Still, this is not enough for me. I want to learn how to fight for myself. Or I want to at least learn to wield a sword and to ride a horse", Vienna demanded, giving her father something to think about. "I see and I understand your concern, yet you are too small to even lift the weight of a sword. I have noticed, times ago, that your mind is more developed, yet you are one of us, one of those whose heart is land. We depend on our citizens and our lands. They would not live without us and we would not live without them", Austria stated.
"He is telling me that I am not able to wield a weapon, yet he is the one that can't even touch one, without getting sick", Vienna thought.
"I know that I am not strong enough, to handle a real weapon yet, but I can start to training swordsmen's techniques with a wooden sword, just like a knave", Austria's child suggested.
"The main reason, why I called you here", Austria continued, ignoring Viennas suggestion, "is, that I have to tell you something. I, Austria, am a part of the Holy Roman empire. Yet, the Holy Roman Empire is one of us. But he is just a kid, younger than you, and this kid has no home. He is not homeless, but he hadn't settled for a place to live. What I try to say, is, that the council of the empires lands has decided to make you, Vienna, not only my capital, but the seat of the Holy roman empires crown", the man announced.
Vienna gasped. She didn't know what to say, nor what to do. Until now, she was just a town, with little responsibilities, but now, she has to fulfill a newer, bigger duty. "i am sorry, father. I do not know what to say. I am sorry and I don't want to disappoint you, but I don't believe that I can fulfill this duty", Vienna apologized, looking down, to avoid looking into her fathers eyes.
"I thought you had a bit more self- confidence than this, but seeing you doubting yourself makes me wonder, if I had raised you right. Don't doubt yourself, usually, you have faith in yourself. There is a reason, why I suggested you. I see a great potential in your future, but if you really think other than that, I shall give you a few hours to think about your decision", Mr. Austria told his daughter. Said girl bowed and left the room, confused.
"Why don't I have faith in myself? I usually have. Maybe I get sick. That must be the reason for my thoughts today", Vienna thought.
Being lost in her thoughts, Vienna didn't even notice that she ran into something. Or someone.
"Hey, watch out!", another children's voice cried out.
"I am sorry, little mister. I should have watched out. May I ask, who you are", Vienna asked.
"You don't know me? Well, I am the Holy Roman Empire", the child said proudly.
"That will be easy", Vienna thought as a smirk appeared upon their face.

(A/N) It is really hard to use the false pronouns for a male character, but I change the pronouns in the next few chapters, because after all, Vienna is a man.
Remember: Trans men are men and Trans women are women! You are valid!
