So let me be honest... I don't know how y'all keep finding this story. (And just to be clear this is an author's note)
But y'all deserve more of an explanation than what I left in the comments, so here we go...
I started this story about 3 years ago, I was obsessed with Alan Walker, and I wanted to contribute to the fandom. I still listen to him, it's just less of an obsession. I guess you could say I left the fandom. It wasn't because the other fans were mean or anything, I just got busy with school, work, and family life.
But hear me out on this: I WOULD LOVE TO CONTINUE THIS STORY. It is still one of my favorite plots I have come up with after 3 years. But in those 3 years I have changed and my writing as well. So I can't continue this story in good faith, while still writing it as it is, if that makes sense.
So what I'm proposing is that I revamp it. I will start a new book, it will still have the same plot but I'll do things a bit differently, and I'll be able to run wild with my evolved writing style.
Now let's talk about updating...
For this story I plan not to just write a chapter and post it but to write a lot of chapters and have them ready to go when I need them. THIS DOES NOT MEAN I WILL BE UPDATING REGULARLY. I'll just be updating when I can, but I'm aiming for at least once every two weeks.
When will I start this new story you ask? I don't really have a set date or or anything for when I will release it, but I will be sure to update here when I do.
What changes will this new story have? There will be a lot of character changes. More representation of minorities, age changes, personality changes, and actual developed characters, not something I was writing on a whim. And I will have more build up for major plot twists or story arcs (*cough* chapter 2 *cough*). And in general I will have a more developed writing style and pacing (I hope).
Another thing is that, I haven't been in the fandom for so long that I will have to do a lot of research to get back up to speed. I don't know what new music has been released, what things are called now, or how the fandom is in general. So this book will probably take a while to get started.
