VINCE 

"Good Evening Mr. and Mrs. Alcantara," I said. No feelings evident in my face. I don't want to fake a smile, I don't want to fake what I feel. I loathe them, and I can't pretend. 

"Nice to see you again, Vince," Nakangiting sabi sa'kin ni Joshua. 

"It isn't nice," I said. I felt Mom squeezed my hand. I looked at her for a second, then turn again to look at Joshua. 

"Are you still mad?" He asked. I saw how the woman beside her squeeze his hand, she's Brix.... the new wife. I mean no, the first wife. My real mother doesn't have the chance to be his wife. 

"I am never mad, Mister," I eyed him. You should know how mad I am, idiot! 

"Can we talk?" 

I shook my head, "This party is for Hillary, it's her day. It is not the time to talk about non sense things." Talk to your self! Bullshit!

"You know it isn't non sense, Vince." I can see how his jaw clenched. 

"Josh, wag dito. Party 'to ni Hillary, this isn't the right time. Don't make a scene," Here comes the wife, acting like some kind of angel not wanting to ruin the party. But just ruined a relationship. 

Joshua slowly nodded. Good boy, continue listening to your hell of a wife... father. 

"The party is about to start, Mrs. Parungao," Mrs. Langdon suddenly said breaking the long silence. 

Mom nodded and look at all of us. "Let's go, hon?" She asked Dad who nodded and go to Hillary who's currently playing with Jax. 

"Excuse us for a minute Josh and Brix, we just have to start the party. We'll go ahead," Pagpapaalam ni Mom. She walked and I walked with her, she's holding my hand. 

"Vince, ano 'yun?" Nakakunot ang noo niya. 

"Don't mind him Mom, don't stress yourself. Loosen up!" I faked a smile. Hindi dapat iyon ang maging dahilan para masira ang party ni Hillary. 

Umiling-iling na lang si Mom. "Promise me you'll fix this, okay?" 

"I can't promise you." 

"Vince, please. He's still your father.." 

"I know. Just don't bring the topic back, I don't want to ruin the atmosphere Mom." I pleaded. Ayoko na munang pag-usapan ang lahat ng nangyari. Ayokong lumabas na naman ang pangit kong ugali at hindi mamansin ng kung sino mang taong nandito sa party ngayon. Can't they see how much I'm trying to talk to people I don't know?

"Dude! Ayos yung speech mo kanina ah?" Natatawang sabi ni Dame. Sinasabayan siya sa pagtawa ni Jonas at Calix.
