Chapter 1:

I had such a long day from work. Working 7am-3pm was no joke, especially when working with kids. I had a long life dream of being a teacher and when I finally did, I loved the job. Being around kids meant everything to me. I wanted to start my own family, along with my boyfriend Jeremy. He's a motorcycle mechanic. Standing at 5'11, he is fair skinned, has gorgeous green eyes that drive me crazy, his muscular arms are covered of tattoos. He did not get tattoos of insignificant things, like other guys did. He had his parents names tattooed onto his chest, a tattoo of his first motorcycle on his left arm and a portrait of his first dog on his right arm. He loved his motorcycles at times more than he loved me. It was his passion and I could relate to him because teaching is my passion.

Who would have thought that a goody two shoes like me would end up with a bad boy like Jeremy? We were like oil and water. We were two completely different beings. Jeremy liked riding with his motorcycle crew on the weekends. Meanwhile, I liked to stay at home and read a nice book.

But with Jeremy, I felt like I could let go. When he would take me on rides on his Suzuki motorcycle, I felt grateful for the beauty around me. He would take me along the beach and as we rode, I would feel invigorated by the oceanic breeze. I loved the smell of the ocean.

Enough of Jeremy. I Iove him, but I need a girls' night out.

I was supposed to meet with my cousin, Arlene. I was never able to have a sister or siblings, and Arlene was the closest I had to a sister. Being born only a few months apart, we grew up together. Our moms were sisters, so naturally we spent a lot of time together when our moms hung out.

Arlene and I went to elementary, middle and high school together. Arlene was outgoing, pretty, and always had attention. Where ever she went, heads immediately turned to her. With her long brown locks, small honey brown eyes, and curveaceous body, she became captain of the cheerleading and dance teams.

Meanwhile I became the president of the Key and Speech and Debate clubs. Naturally, all guys were drawn to Arlene because of her popularity and looks... It was something I envied but, something I was happy not to be getting. I was never involved in complicated relationship drama like she was.

We were always very close. As I moved onto college and moved away from our tiny town to pursue my dreams in becoming a teacher, Arlene stayed to figure out what she wanted to do. She was not interested in going to college, even though her mom pushed her to go. My decision of going to college made things awkward between her and I. Our moms would always compare us to each other, which added fuel to the fire. I was sensitive about my looks, and she would hurt when being asked about her career goals. We were always being compared.

But, my cousin means everything to me. She's been there for me when I have needed her the most. Especially now since Jeremy has been acting distant.

I pulled up to my cousin's apartment. It's Friday afternoon and I wanted to go to a bar. Tomorrow is Saturday, giving me the perfect chance to enjoy drinks with my favorite person in the world. I parked across the street from her apartment and I pulled out my phone.

"Hey bitch. I'm outside" I texted her. We would always use curse words to each other. That was our way of showing the love we had for each other.

I turned to look at her apartment complex and see that she's exiting the premise. She's not alone. She's with my boyfriend, Jeremy and they're walking hand in hand! Jeremy stops and pulls my cousin towards him and kisses her. It's not one of those small pecks. It's one of those full blown make out kisses that leads to other things. He backs away, whispers inside her ear and he carries her bridal style back to the apartment.
