Chapter 14

"Did he have any attacks recently?" Sophia shake her head at Juniel's personal doctor. She just came from abroad and went to Korea for Sophia's concern.

"He already them but Juniel didn't have the attacks i was expecting him to have." The doctors brow furrowed at what she said.

  "That's impossible. Usually the past triggers the brain of a human being. Once they met the people who are involve in their past They usually get attacks and much more, some people go through depressions and when they cannot handle they go straight into killing and hurting themselves, Ms. Lee." The doctor took a deep breath. "As to your brothers condition.. He might have already forgotten about those people involve or else they weren't really a part of his harsh past."

Sophia was puzzled. Kai is not a part.. of his past? "Is he going to be okay? I mean.. Is it better if it's like this or should i be concern?"

"Don't worry, Ms. Sofia. As long as the people around him don't make him feel uncomfortable, His on the green code."

"MICHAEL." Sophia called her butler from the dining area. The man hurriedly came to her. "Yes, Miss?"

"Have you seen Juniel?" Michael turn at the backdoor. "I saw him at the pool side, Miss."

  "Oh, Okay. Thanks!" Michael bowed as she left the room. Sophia went to the back door and saw her brother at the pool side with.. a drink on his hand.

  "Juniel." She called and went to him. He look at her sister when she grab the alcohol and drink it straight infront of him.

"Noona, That's mine!" Sophia smiled and put the glass on top of the table. "As far as i remember, The doctor haven't give you the permission to drink any kind of alcohol." Juniel groan at her.

She giggled and sat beside him. "What are you thinking? It's impossible for you not to drink without any valuable reasons."

"You really know everything about me, Noona. That's unfair." She played and ruin his hair.

"You're my brother. I live with you in this house for almost twenty three years of my life. I've seen you grow up from a little boy to a very gentle man that you are today. Why does it sound unfair?" Juniel stared at the water over the pool like his life depend on it.

"Noona.." He took a deep breath. "I have this secret to tell. I know i could trust you, Right?" She nod at him.

"Of course, Why not?" Sophia waited for him to tell the story that was driving his mind.

  "Cindy.. She got into this trouble before. We were too young back then. She's the only friend i had in school and the only person who talk with me around class. She is this very bubbly girl. She loves to smile and laugh. She do like making jokes out of me and I find it very mischievous. But then accident happen and it sucks.." He sigh before continuing, "It was her sixteenth birthday. Everyone was having fun. All the class was there to join her party. Even Kai was there.. I met him ever since but we never had the chance to talk personally. It was almost midnight when she got lost all of a sudden."

"It was very quick but my eye was all on her. Some random person pulled her away from the large crowd. because of the party no one notice it, Except me. The guy pulled her somewhere near the event and i followed them secretly. I thought she voluntarily went out to be with him but i never thought... She was going to be rape that night."

Sophia felt a lump in her throat. She didn't expect that lovely girl.. to have this kind of past. "Who did it to her?"

"Noona.. I fought for her life. They were four men sorrounding us. I tried my best to save her. You know that what prince do for their princess.." A tear fell unto his eyes that made her heart shadder into pieces. "The prince should save her princess even if would be in exchange of his life. Right? ... That's what i did, Noona. But i was weak. Too weak that i can't fight them. They were too strong. They look like they mastered in martial arts and I was completely wounded."

  "Juniel.." Sophia held his hand to comfort him a little.

"Noona. I did my best but i just didn't. I fcking didn't!" A tear was followed by a flood of tears. "I was there, Noona! But i didn't save her. I watch her from a far completely weak and being use by those man. She was crying for help. She was pursuing me to take her away from those devils! Noona.. Cindy was calling my name.. Over and over again but even myself was completely dead. I tried to save her once more but i was fell down again."

  Sophia can't help her tears. She hug her brothers shoulder and pull him to her. "Oh my god.. Juniel.. I didn't know." She sob slowly caressing his hair with her hands.

"Noona.. I thought we were going to die. I don't want too. After they use her, They left her there. Bare. Helpless. She was shivering in cold and pain was eating her being. I tried to stand for her. I don't want people to see her like that. She's my princess.. She was left hanging in the air. She was staring at the ceiling, lifeless and crying for her life. I went to cover her up. I use the last power i have to protect her. Just like that.. Even if i was too late.. Too late."

He continued sobbing in her sister's arm. Juniel needed her. He can't handle the pain alone. Everytime she see his princess smiling, His feeling the pain inside his heart. It was broken in pieces. It was cold and afraid.

"Noona.. Cindy is a good person. She's too nice and so does her cousin. Kai is a good man. He took care of Cindy that time. He battled about his cousins survival and him.. loosing you. I was his last chance but when i saw you hurt because of him, I choose to protect you. Because i don't want another princess to feel the pain. I hate seeing you cry. Cause everytime i do, I remember Cindy at her weakest point." Sophia's eyes shut in tears. She didn't know her brother was struggling this much but have the strength to protect her.

"Noona.. I know he was your happiness but I wanted him to learn from the mistakes he did. So even if his friends ruined me, I never spoke anything about you to him. He almost beg. He kneeled just to know where you were hiding, But i kept my mouth shut. Your the last princess i need to save and i did it, for you.."

Sophia can't help but sob. "Noona, What he's friends did wasn't the reason i was traumatized. It was Cindy's story. When i left the country to follow you, I wanted to forget. But faith is too much to battle with. I thought i was done but then Cindy came again. Looking happy once more. Like she already reset her life to start a new one with much strong and confidence her."

"Cindy is indeed a strong woman and you were given the chance to save your princess again.. To protect her. Don't let the chance slip away. You're Juniel, Your my little brother. Your tough as me." Juniel raise his body from her hug.

"If i give myself a chance, Won't you give Kai a chance too?"
