To sit in darkness is a return
to the very beginningTo be still, to be silent,
to be stifled.Once the light breaks,
you can take back your voice and your fight.
But for now,
just hush and be silent.Am I dreaming at this very moment?
To be perfectly honest,
I do not remember my dreams
much at all.But of course, I still dream.
I dream of my future,
of my love and my light.I stay silent for now
I stay small and quietEven now, scribbling and scrabbling in the dark,
I can't see my words or my pen or my hand,
yet I still write. For I know the light will shine
when morning comes again.
