6) Clarity

GA RV, Duluth Minnesota
(Next Day)

Jay- Having woken up before all the others, I put on a fresh pot of coffee and wash up the dirty dishes in the sink. (Sighs Softly)

Billy- I'm the next out of bed as I do my morning routine and am out at the table with a cup of juice and a bowel of cereal. "Morning Jay."

Jay- (Hums) "Morning."

Aaron- Sluggishly getting out of bed and doing my own morning routine, I soon find myself in the RV kitchen as I get myself some coffee and a bowel of cereal.

Jay- Walking up beside Aaron. "What happened last night?"

Aaron- Startled by my brothers sudden appearance and rather confused. "What?"

Jay- I gesture over to the cups I had washed earlier. "What happened last night?"

Aaron- (Nods Understandingly) "That's actually something I want to talk to you about." Taking a much needed sip of my coffee. "I was up at four am, don't ask me why. Zak startled me and he looked all out of sorts, so we sat at the table and talked. He's hurting Jay, he's being plagued by nightmares and dreams of his Soulmate, he also wants a family."

Jay- I listen silently as I sip at my coffee, what he says sinks in as I nearly choke on the burning liquid. "I'm sorry, what?"

Aaron- Lightly patting my brother on the back. "Yeah, that was my response last night. He's beating himself up, that he lost his chance with his Soulmate and having a family."

Jay- Reaching up as I pinch the bridge of my nose. (Groans) "I need to go beat some sense into a self-deprecating Vampire."

Aaron- Lightly tapping Jay on the shoulder as I gesture to where Zak had just stepped out of the shadows.

Zak- I had finally gotten out of bed and did my morning routine, stalking through the shadows I reach the kitchen set on getting myself some coffee.

Jay- Seeing Zak make an appearance, I quickly get him a cup of coffee with some blood. "Your eyes are a bit darker than usual."

Zak- (Hums Softly) I take the offered cup as I sip at it slowly. "What were you and Aaron talking about?"

Jay- Running my fingers through his tussled hair. "You actually."

Zak- Glancing down at the ceramic cup between my hands. "I'm sorry."

Jay- (Shakes Head) "Don't be, you're still getting used to how the change effected the magical bond."

Zak- (Growls) "It's been a year!"

Dakota- I had just gotten out of bed and after doing my morning routine, made my way to the kitchen where I literally walk into a shit show. (Flinches)

Zak- Having spun to turn away from the Warlock, I now face a rather startled young boy. (Sighs Heavily) Taking a deep breath, to get myself together. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you child." The boy was the youngest of all us and he became a son to me.

Dakota- (Smiles Brightly) Stepping forward as I wrap myself around the man who has taken on a more parental role in my life. "It's okay, it happens. You didn't hurt me, that's what matters." Turning to look up into glowing crimson orbs. "What has you so upset?"

Zak- Taking a sip of my coffee as I run my fingers through the boys unruly hair. "A conversation, your Godfather and I are having. It's nothing to concern yourself about." Gently giving him a nudge. "Go, eat."

Dakota- (Nods) "Ok." Without question, I get myself some cereal and a glass of juice as I sit across from one of my many Uncles.

Billy- The kid was way to bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for my liking. (Mumbles) "Morning."

Dakota- (Giggles) "Morning...Uncle Billy, Uncle Aaron."

Aaron- (Smiles) "Morning, Kit." I turn my attention back to Jay and Zak.

Jay- Standing behind Zak, with my hands pressed to his shoulders. "I know, how you feel and Zachary I promise things will work out."

Zak- Melting beneath my Warlocks soothing touch. (Sighs Softly and Nods) "I know, but when?"

Jay- I knew he was growing impatient. "Soon." It was all I could give him.

Zak- (Huffs Indigently) Not bothering to push it further and wanting to get certain things off my mind, I throw myself straight into work as I head back into the bedroom and return a few minutes later with a couple files in hand. "Alright, here is the information that was researched for our location." Passing the files around. "We've got work to do."
