Zakula Manner
(Six Months Later)3rd Person P.O.V- It was a very long healing process for the GA Crew and their family, friends an fans were there for them through the whole process.
Zak- Sitting at my desk, I twirl a little black velvet box between my fingers.
Jay- Knocking at the door as I open it. "Zachary?" Glancing into the darkened room, I spot my brother at his desk playing with a little box. (Hums Coyly) "You need to talk to him Zak, he'll understand."
Zak- Tossing the box back into the top drawer of my desk as I slam it shut. "I fucked up his life. I took him away from his wife and his girls away from their mother. I fucked with shit I shouldn't have, I planned a ritual behind his back and then forced him to complete it!" Getting to my feet as I stalk across the room, leaning against the mantle as I stare into the burning fire. "He had every right to leave, I made my choices and should suffer the consequences."
Jay- I knew there was a lot on his mind and unlike the others he became more reclusive after the near-death experience. "Zak, trust me." We could all see the drastic change, he was very protective of the kids while being hostile towards his mate. "Talk to him." Walking over as I rest a hand at his lower back in a soothing manner.
Zak- (Mutters) "I do trust you."
Jay- (Nods) "He deserves to know everything."
Zak- (Sighs Heavily and Groans) "I despise when you're right." Giving my Warlock a look of thanks, I walk over to my desk for the little velvet box before leaving the office.
(Master Bedroom)
Nick- Hearing the bedroom door, I glance up and am mildly surprised to see Zak. "You're normally working late. Everything okay?"
Zak- Having shut the door and making sure to lock it. (Hums Softly) "Yes and no." Crossing the room to the bed we share, I sink down unto the silk sheets beside my mate. "I need to talk with you."
Nick- (Frowns) Setting aside my book as I turn toward my partner fully. "What's on that mind of yours?"
Zak- Taking a deep breath before slowly letting it out. "First and foremost, I want to apologize. I'm sorry for completely turning your life upside down." Pausing briefly to think over my choice of words, before quickly continuing. "I'm sorry, I was the one who got between you and your wife and I'm sorry I took the girls away from their mother."
Nick- The words fully sink in and I take my time to think over my response. "How are you at fault for my failed marriage exactly?" I genuinely wanted to know, why he thought such a thing.
Zak- Looking anywhere but into those brown eyes I love so much. "You should be mad at me, I fucked up your life."
Nick- (Raises Eyebrow) "You want me mad at you?"
Zak- (Shakes Head) "No, but you should be." Getting up from where I'm laying, I go over to the book shelf and grab an all too familiar leather bound book off the top shelf. (Mumbles) "I'm sorry."
Nick- Looking at the book a bit confused, until it dawns on me, why it's so familiar. "What did you do?"
Zak- Standing at the foot of the bed as I slowly flip through the book, until I find the ritual. "Do you remember the ritual we did with Lady Snake?"
Nick- (Nods) "Not an experience, I'll ever forget."
Zak- Nervously shifting back and forth, I finally sit down. "The ritual we did with Lady Snake, it was a ritual I had pre-planned with her two weeks prior."
Nick- Moving across the bed as I sit beside my partner. "Why? What did you have to gain from the ritual?"
Zak- Staring down at the ritual that has come to haunt me for years now. "I had the world to gain and everything to lose." Pausing briefly, to collect myself before continuing. "And I very nearly did lose everything." Staring down at the floor as I hand him the book. "Years ago, I came across this ritual and was curious."
Nick- Taking the offered book as I gaze over the dainty Latin sprawled across the pages. "Curious, Zak?"
Zak- I could feel his questioning gaze burn into me. "One night, under Jay's supervision I performed it and I found out who my destined Soulmate is. A year or so later, we preformed the ritual with Lady Snake." (Sighs Heavily) "I found out and harbored the secret of who my Soulmate was, until I got a Black Magic High Priestess involved. Lady Snake knew and made a vow to keep my secret..." Just barely glancing up towards the petite male. "I am so, sorry."
Nick- Closing the book as I get up and put it back in its place on the shelf, I slowly pace back and forth at the foot of the bed in front of Zak as I listen to him silently, taking in everything he says. "I'm your Soulmate and you couldn't have told me sooner? Zak we could have completely avoided this huge mess you got yourself into." Standing in front of him, reaching up I grasp his cheeks. "It's about damn time, you tell me everything." Leaning down slightly, I press my lips to his.
Zak- Melting into the kiss, unable to help myself I pull away with his bottom lip between my fangs.
Nick- (Chuckles Lightly) Running my tongue along my bottom lip, tasting blood.
Zak- He was being a tease without even trying. (Growls Lowly) Reaching up as I grab him by a belt loop, pulling him closer. "Will you marry me?" Having pulled the little box out of my pocket, I prop it up in my hand opened.
Nick- Looking at Zak legitimately surprised. (Nods) "Yes."
Zak- Tossing the box on a night stand as I take the simple black titanium band sliding it unto his finger. "Mine." Entwining our fingers, I press my lips to his knuckles.
Nick- (Smiles and Blushes) "Yours."
