8) Para-Energy

Zakula Manor
(Three Months Later)

Jay- There is a brisk knock at the door and I go to answer it. (Mumbles Tiredly) "Morning." Opening the door, I allow both Billy and Aaron entrance.

Billy- Walking in with Aaron right behind me. "It's been months since our last investigation, hell it's been months since we've seen Zak let alone heard anything from him. Is everything okay?"

Aaron- The door gets shut and we follow our brother from the front foyer to the dining room. "How's he been?"

Jay- Walking into the dining room, I gesture towards the resident Vampire. (Smirks) "Ask him yourself."

Zak- Setting aside my coffee as I glance up at my brothers and Warlock. "Aaron, Billy..." Having heard their conversation, I still allow them to ask their questions before answering.

Billy- Both Aaron and myself sit down at the table. "It's been months, since we've last filmed. No calls, texts, emails...we show up the Museum and it's always Jay there. It's like you fell off the face of the earth, we are worried. I mean we'd be even more worried if you dropped off social media all together, but you haven't been on there much either. What's going on brother?"

Zak- Listening silently as he rambles. (Hums) "While on the road during our last investigation, I became privy to some information. Dakota, his little sister and a friend of theirs were in very bad situations; Dakota already saw me as a father and after two meetings with his sister and their friend it was decided to make things more official. These last couple months have been spent getting settled as a proper family."

Aaron- What he says sinks in. (Smiles Brightly) "You officially adopted the kid as well as his sister and their friend. Congratulations man, your a daddy!"

Billy- (Smiles) "I'm happy for you Zak, the kids deserve the world."

Jay- Sitting there silently as I listen to their conversation, I nearly choke on my coffee.

Aaron- Turning my attention to Jay. "Everything okay?"

Jay- (Nods) The air returns to my lungs as I glare at my Vampire.

Billy- The look of Jays didn't go unnoticed. "Zak, you didn't just adopt them...did you?"

Zak- Taking a sip of my coffee before setting it aside once more. "I only gave them, what they wanted."

Aaron- (Mutters Lowly) "They wanted to be immortal, like their father."

Zak- (Nods) Gesturing over to Jay. "My daughter has also taken an interest in magic and is quite the Witch like her Godfather." (Smirks)

Jay- (Blushes Darkly)

Billy and Aaron- (Laughs) The sound of shuffling could be heard, shortly followed by the most melodic voices.

Dakota- My siblings and I head to the kitchen and get our chosen drinks, before heading into the dining room where our families voices could be heard. "Dad."

Chelsea- (Smiles Brightly) Giving my father a kiss on the cheek. "Daddy!"

Tanner- (Hums Softly) "Dad."

Zak- (Smiles Fondly) Gazing over each one of my children. "Good morning; Kit, Lea, Tan."

Dakota, Chelsea and Tanner- Making our way around the table as we say our good mornings to everybody.
