I am not having a bad day. I'm having a bad year. First of all, my manager sends my business report to my hot af rival. Then that same rival plays tricks on me and made me his 'love interest' if that's what I can even call it
Then out of nowhere, he shows up just to crash my meeting, and then like a fucking disco ball, he caught everyone's attention.
I let out a groan as I tried to call Ashton for the one hundredth time
"Hello?"
"Where the hell is you?!" I growled at him as I stood outside of my office.
"Sorry, buddy. I'm stuck at work. Won't be able to make it before eight" He replied, apologetically.
did he just give me the 'won't be able to make it' line? bet, he is willing to die. I let out a sigh and hung up the phone.
"Want a lift, pretty little thing?" That cheeky bastard offered from his car
Oh, no-no-no. I am not dealing with this guy anymore. I had enough of Santiago salt for a day.
"No, it's alright. I'll manage" I said with a hint of frustration
"Oh come on. What kind of boyfriend I would be if I can't even give my girlfriend a lift? Now get in before I drag you myself"
Oh yeah, how can I forget that? I still curse myself for involving myself in this candy crap with someone like him but what's done is done.
I sighed in defeat and got into his car. I honestly don't know what happened to my 'new year, new me thing.
"You okay, pretty little thing? You seem a little upset" Santiago stated as he drove off.
as long as this Norse god is going to be around. I am not going to be okay... ever.
"I am okay and stop calling me by that. It's annoying" I groan at him which made his signature smirk appear back on his face.
"then what should I call you by?" he raised an eyebrow at me.
"anything but that. I do have a name too, you know?" I bluntly said, looking away from him. I didn't realize when the car slowed down but the next thing I knew was his hot breaths tingling on my neck which sent a shiver down my spine.
"then how about... mi amor?" he whispered, seductively on my skin.
blahhh!! that's illegal
"I- I think, I'll stick with the first one or you could simply call me by my name" I stutter a bit as I spoke, looking into his eyes.
The distance between us was almost unmeasurable which made my heart race like crazy. as he sat back on his seat without doing anything else, I exhaled the air which I was holding for god knows how long.
we shared a moment in silence which I suppose wasn't that awkward until Santiago played his playlist.

being an anime watcher, I couldn't help but sing along but I kept my voice low because I don't want to appear weird to this person who happens to be my boyfriend now.

"Seriously? A song whose language I don't understand except the 'touch your' part makes me sound gay? Let's make something crystal clear. I am one hundred per cent straight." He said as if I offended his feelings
"Okay, but what is it doing on your playlist?" I questioned, trying to hold my laugh.
"Oh I heard it on a tik tok"

The rest of the time I spent explaining to my so-called boyfriend what that song was about before he pulled over his car at my place.
"Care to join me for dinner, pretty little thing?" He asked with a charming smirk.
"Hmm, I think I'll pass. Thanks for the ride though" I replied sarcastically before stepping out of his car and headed inside the house.
he is probably going to remove that song from his playlist now...
