Trish hurried to the door as the bell rang, Her eyes grew large as she looked down at Angela, behind her a metal platform truck, on top of it was stacked 3 large boxes. "What on earth is that?" Trish asked with a short chuckle. Angela looked back "I had to get the biggest one or Roger would have complained. 50th birthday and first day back on the job." Angela said.

Trish pointed at the boxes, "My god is that one of those Rustic Lux Grills that they've had on sale?" She asked. Angela nodded "The Kings Que model yes." Angela said.

"The L shaped monster of a grill? Rogers been salivating over that thing for three months straight. It takes charcoal, wood, and gas, it has the smoker, the dehydrator and a built-in pizza oven!" Trish said mimicking Rogers voice as she recited the giddy speech he had given many times.

"And don't for that beeeautiful stainless steel finish!" Angela said also joining in on the fun, mimicking her brother's voice. The two women laugh. "You really shouldn't have Angie, those things cost a fortune." Trish said with a grateful smile.

Angela laughed lightly, "Don't thank me yet, you're the one who's got to help me put it together before Roger gets home." she said, tugging the truck in the front door with Trish's help.

"Besides," said Angela giving one of the large boxes a pat, "My big brother survived a heart attack that should have dropped him. He deserves this, cooking out on the grill has always put him in his happy place. It'll help keep him stress-free." Angela said.

Trish gave a nod of agreement and the two women headed for the backyard, "How's Harper?" Angela asked. "She's great, upstairs sleeping - wore me out! That little girl is nothing but a ball of energy and I swear some days I think I am too old to be trying to keep up with a baby." Trish laughed.

Angela shook her head and smiled, "nah, Motherhood suites you well, hell you've more energy than I have on a good day. And keep in mind, I hit the track once a week." Angela said.

Trish laughed and helped Angela with the unboxing, "you know RJ's been asking about joining the service again. He wants you to give him your personal opinion on what he should consider." Trish brought up the subject cautiously.

Angela became slightly rigid, "He has, again?" she asked. Trish gave a nod, "He wants to be like his Navy SEAL auntie." Trish said with a bit of a smile. Angela's side glanced "It's not a bad thing. It takes a lot to want to enlist. Why not a cop though?" she asked. Trish shrugged "RJ wants to see the world, joining the military gets him a chance to visit new places." said Trish.

"The Navy would get him that, the air force would get him that and mad bragging rights and pick-up lines. Chicks love a sailor, but a lady adores an airman." Angela chuckled dryly. "Oh god, better talk him into Navy." Trish laughed.

Evening faded to night and the vibrant sky replaced with a fresh indigo curtain. Angela stood with a wide smile as she watched her niece and nephew bickering lightly in the yard, RJ stolen Riana's phone playfully. Meanwhile, Trish let little Harper taste a cherry tomato for the first time.

Angela and Trish did a good job in setting up the grill, currently Angela worked at getting it fired up, she wanted to impress Roger, so she picked wood to fuel the fire. She had been careful to choose the leanest cuts of meat, and a lush selection of veggies to pop on the grill as well.

Though the  fire was still getting hot, the welcoming smell of burning mesquite filled the air with the small plume of smoke.

"Ok! Wise guys!" Roger's voice came booming through the house.

"Which one of you is touching my grill, I am the keeper of the might patty flipper. Last time Trish touched the grill she burnt everything!" He shouted.
