I pulled the blind and beam of sunlight penetrated into the room. I unlocked the sliding door and stepped out to the balcony before pulling the blind close again to keep the room dark from any sunlight

I could finally see the sun again. It felt like years since I didn't get to step out, but in fact it hadn't been three hours in human world yet

Flashback

Namjoo-It hurts!

I whined because it stung. Hakyung immediately apologised

Namjoo-Hakyung, can't you help me to escape here?
Hakyung-No, I can't do that your highness. The king is going to kill me
Namjoo-Ugh, why do I have to encounter this blood-sucker monster?

I groaned

Hakyung-Do you hate him so much?
Namjoo-I despise him to the day I die. He only wants my blood, I know it
Hakyung-No, that's not true
Namjoo-Eh?

Hakyung-Your blood is forbidden to be drank by anyone, including the king himself
Namjoo-But why?
Hakyung-Because you are the Vampire Queen

'So that's why Kyungsoo didn't even try to bite me?', I thought

Namjoo-But it doesn't mean I can stay here. I need to go home, there might be people who are looking for me
Hakyung-Calm down your highness. You are only gone missing for 10 minutes now
Namjoo-What?! That is impossible, it has been a week!

Hakyung smiled at me

Hakyung-There is time difference here and your world. In here, 1000 years are equivalent to 1 year at your place
Namjoo-Im.. Impossible
Hakyung-Now you know why the king cannot afford to lose you? He has been waiting for his bride for 1800 years

I pressed my lips together

Namjoo-By the ways, how old is he?
Hakyung-Hmm, if I'm not mistaken he is approaching 2500 years

End of flashback

Namjoo-Aish!

I quickly brushed off the thoughts. Why did this hatred changed into another feelings now? Sympathy, I can say

Kyungsoo-Namjoo, are you out there?

Namjoo-Yy.. Yes!

I quickly ran back into the room

Kyungsoo-Ah!

He groaned as soon as the bright sunlight penetrated inside

Namjoo-I'm sorry!

I quickly apologised and closed the curtain back. He walked up to me and I swallowed

Kyungsoo-What were you doing out there? Didn't I say you are forbidden from stepping out of this room?
Namjoo-I.. I just went out to take some fresh air
Kyungsoo-Are you sure you didn't attempt suicide again?
Namjoo-No!

I denied

Namjoo-Didn't I say I won't try that stupid thing again? I just want to look at the outside world because you have kept me trapped inside here like years already
Kyungsoo-It has been only a week
Namjoo-But it already felt like decades. I am a human, not a vampire like you. I have a life I enjoyed living
