Evie timidly peered over the edge. They were really high up- UA was way taller than they had expected. As well as this, there were no barriers so they could easily fall. Evie spotted Bakugo's spiky hair; it looked so small down there, almost like an ant. Bakugo looked up and did some weird hand gestures. Evie could hardly see what he was doing, because he looked so small. Turned out, he was actually telling her to get away from the edge, but common sense already told her to stay away from the drop. Her and Kaci sat down, in the middle of the rooftop, so they were far away from danger.
"So... why was I in a MENTAL HOSPITAL?" Kaci asked. She looked at Evie's arm. "And what's this?" Evie looked at her arm. She still had a scar from when Kaci had gone mental, a few months ago.
Evie sighed, before saying, "That was you. One day, you wouldn't talk or listen to me. And then you suddenly lashed out." Kaci looked dumbfounded.
"Wait WHAT? Your kidding right??" Kaci questioned, desperately. Evie shook her head, frowning. Evie suddenly remembered something.
"WAIT! Kaci... who was the person who you met behind the school?? You NEED to tell me! They were probably the one that make you go all weird!" Evie raised her voice, pleading for Kaci to answer.
Kaci thought hard for a moment. Her expression suddenly changed from thought, to seriousness. Her eyes widened, and she began muttering things under her breath.
"What are you saying? Are you okay?" Evie asked, looking quite concerned.
"Get down. Get down. Get down." She began rapidly repeating that over and over again, her eyes opening wider.
"What are you-" Evie started, before being interrupted.
"GET DOWN! RUN DOWN THE STAIRS QUICK JUST GO!" Kaci screamed, her eyes filling with tears. Quickly, Evie got up from where she was sitting and began running to the exit. She could see Kaci getting up from behind her. Evie paused for a second, turning her head around her shoulder.
"...Kaci?"
Kaci slowly looked up, revealing the same bloodshot eyes she had that day. Kaci began running forward to Evie, a wicked smile creeping onto her face. Evie screamed and sprinted to the door. She pulled on the handle, over and over, but it appeared to be locked. Kaci was getting nearer with every second. Evie pounded on the door, shouting, but no one seemed to open the door. She turned around, with her back to the door, seeing Kaci only a few metres away. Tears ran down Evie's face. Evie knew that her best option was to fight her, even though she was aware that in that state, Kaci's strength seemed to increase, rapidly. Evie charged toward her, sending flames in every direction. Kaci got burned but it didn't stop her; she launched her boot into Evie's stomach.Evie stumbled, but ran in another direction, whilst sending speeding flames behind her. Kaci stumbled backwards, onto her back. Evie was just about to rush over to Kaci's body and aprehend her, when Kaci stood back up again.
Evie felt as if Kaci was invinsible. Kaci had been completely brain-washed, which only meant that Evie stood no chance. Remembering that Bakugo and Kirishima were far below her, Evie ran to the edge, looking behind her every so often. She began shouting down at them, but they couldn't head her. She gathered all her strength, and shot a huge ball of fire, sending it down on the grass in front of Bakugo. That action had used up all of her strength, and she could hardly move her trembling legs away from the edge. He immediately looked up and could hardly see Evie by the edge. He squinted, and he could see Kaci creeping over to Evie, who had no escape. She was pushed right up to the edge, and couldn't move back any further, unless she wanted to fall to her death. Kirishima sprinted inside, as if he life depended on it.
Agressively, Bakugo began using his explosions to launch him up to the rooftop. Evie's heels were over the edge- just one stumble and she would be dead.
"KACI DON'T PUSH ME! I KNOW YOUR IN THERE PLEASE JUST LISTEN TO M-"
One second, Evie was stood on the edge, and the next, she was falling through the air. To Evie, everything felt as if it were in slow motion. She saw Kaci, looking over the edge, watching her fall and meet her fete. Tears flooded her eyes, knowing that she was about to die, and the person who killed her was her best friend. Kaci had just realised what she had done. Her heart skipped a beat and tears streamed down her cheeks. Kaci tried to jump after her, but Kirishima ran up behind her and grabbed her arm. She collapsed on the rooftop floor, in regret and grief.
Evie was nearing the ground below, and she had accepted her fete. She could hear Bakugo shouting, and she wished that she could just tell him to let her fall. She screwed her eyes shut, as the fear of death suddenly crept over her. Suddenly, all her vision went black.
Wow. A lot happened in this scene lmao. I'm sorry for the bad fight scene, like I said before, describing fights are definitely not my strong point. Teehee
Hopefully I'll see you in the next chapter <3
