Angel in Disguise

A cruel task (part 1)

His first quest was a Japanese man named Issei Sagawa, who was living in Paris in 1981. Nathaniel's job was to persuade this man to cannibalize. Issei invited his classmate called  Renée Hartevelt at his place. That was Nathaniel's chance to put in his mind the idea of eating her. 

After some research about this man, the night before the dinner Nathaniel went to a bar where he was sure he would find Issei, knowing that he hanged out there every night. After finding Issei he tried to go close to him so they could talk but Issei simply ignored him. Nathaniel was really upset because he knew that if he didn't complete his task on time he would be tortured in Hell by Lucifer himself. 

Then Nathaniel came up with an idea. He changed clothes went behind the bar and pretended to be the bar man. He tried to be as quick as possible in order to not get caught. Luckily, Issei came to the bar and asked for a drink. While Nathaniel was preparing the drink, Issei started talking to his friend about his date with Renée. That's when Nathaniel found the chance to talk to him. Nathaniel greeted him and apologized for hearing their conversation. He started giving him advice about his date and Issei immediately liked him.

After having a few drinks, Issei was pretty drunk. Nathaniel started a conversation about weird foods they have eaten. Issei was really proud of his "eating habits" and though that he had tried every weird food combination you can imagine until... Nathaniel said "I've never heard anybody saying that they have eaten human meat before." Issei felt like he was being challenged and started thinking about eating somebody. Because he was drunk he started saying his thoughts out loud. Then his friend said "why don't you eat Renée? She refused to go out with you the first time you asked her out and she seems to go out with you just because she needs help with her essay". His friends were joking of course but he was taking the whole conversation seriously. That made Issei decide what he was about to do. Then he stood up on the bar and shouted "I will eat Renée tomorrow night!". Nobody paid attention to him because he was drunk. His friend pulled him down and called a taxi for him to take him home. While all those things were happening, Nathaniel found the chance to leave the bar and go for a walk.

As he was walking Lucifer showed up. Nathaniel looked at him angrily without saying anything. Then Lucifer said "I'm really proud of you young man." He then opened up his wings and flew away. Nathaniel had to stay in Paris until tomorrow night when everything would be done. He didn't have anywhere to stay so he slept in an alley until the morning. Then he woke up and started spying Issei. He was feeling really agitated about what he was doing but he believed that this was he's only chance to get out of this chaotic situation.
