The wedding went by just like any other, me and my delightful husband had the honor to open the dance floor and followed with him dancing with his mother and I with my father.

We then sat down at a huge table that was set up for the groom and his parents as well as the bride with her parents.

It was awkward to sit in front of hundreds of people and fake being happy.

Peter and I had to cut the cake and we had to do a speech.

"... she's amazing." Peter ended his speech.

My turn.

I stand up shaking, my legs barely holding me up right. I'm so nervous in front of all these people and it's all just for the show.

"Uhm.." I begin but lose my confidence.

I feel my father staring at me and I know that I am not allowed to mess this up.

"Hello everyone. Not all of you know me but some I've already met through the day and I just want to thank everyone for sharing this w-wonderfull day with us."

I'm not good with lying or pretending to be honest. I get nervous because some people have the power to look right through you and I've seen some strange stares from a lot of people but I kind of expected it.

Peter's family are so rich that they literally own everything they want. They have about three cars each, including his sister who I absolutely adore, we are the same age and clicked immediately. She's the only one who makes me feel wanted and welcome. We've become good friends within a short amount of time.

"I'm so lucky to have a person like Peter by my side, we will grow and keep growing together 'till we die." I'm super bad at speeches too.

Peter stands up and hands me a glass of champaign.

I take it gently out of his hands, making sure not to touch him.

"Together Forever. " He says looking straight into my eyes.

My own eyes start to blur and I mentally kick myself for being weak like this.

"Together Forever." I repeat and clink my glass with his.

After everybody cheered at us we drank our champaign while we got served with food and followed by cake.

Everyone made small conversations with each other but I see there's a lot of tension between my family and Peter's.

I just hope there won't be any fights on my wedding day even though it's fake.

The afternoon went by and some people danced a little other went to the open bar and others sat outside in groups.

I feel a soft hand on my bare shoulder and turn to see my mother with a small smile. She feels guilty. I can see it clearly.

"Mum." Is all I say before getting up and giving her the biggest hug.

"I so sorry Kate." She wisper against my ear.

I break the hug and hold her ferm by the shoulders. She has tears in her eyes and I'm sick of seeing my mother crying this much. She deserves to be happy all the time. She deserves everything and anything she wants or ever wanted. She's a very good woman and I would never ask for a better mother than her.

"Stop it. Wipe that tears away and smile. Show me that teeth." I say playfully to her.

"You don't deserve this." She sobs this time and cover her face with her hands.

"It's not your fault mum, please stop crying and stop saying sorry for something you had no control over. I'll be fine. I promise." I give her a big hug with my eyes closed so that I can memorize how it feels to help me when she's not around next time.

I open my eyes still holding my mother and immediately my eyes linked with emerald green eyes.

The look in his eyes are different this time, almost a hint of sadness traced in them.

He breaks the contact first, it felt long but I'm sure it was less than two seconds.

I release my mother and look at her. She is so beautiful.

"Just know that I love you Kate and I'll always be here for you my child." She says while holding both my hands in her cold, small hands.

"I love you too mum." I say.

A loud noise came from the front of the building and I realize that it's our ride.

A long, shiny, black limousine stood there with it's door open waiting just for me.

My mother push me slightly and nod toward the car.

"By the way, you looked beautiful today." She says one last time then turned to walk away.

To say goodbye were never easy for her, I saw how my father took her away from her family and it tore her apart.

I'll see you again mum, don't worry.
