All the lights went out. She can hear her heart pounding. She never felt peace after the incident in the Public library.
Sunrise.
Cold breeze.
Birds.
The sound of the waves.
Sea.
She can smell the sea.
Her body shivers, she was cold, in pain, her adrenaline maybe had already resided. As she was laying on the sand on the seaside, a bird walked near her body, the bird had a broken wing, a hunter might have shot it.
"Poor thing. Are you alone? You're in pain, come here."
Alexa rubbed its feather and healed it.
"You can join your friends now."
A man found Alexa lying on the sand he was holding his arm with his other hand and panting.
"Miss, are you okay? You are... glowing."Alexa passed out, as she wakes up, she's on a hospital bed.
--
"Do you remember anything miss Alexa?" Asked the police officer.
"I am MRS, Mr. Officer. I'm married."
"Oh I'm sorry, your papers say here you are 20 years old, a first-year college student taking up Bachelor of Fine Arts, and not married."
Eve told Alexa to trust only one person. Elijah. It keeps repeating at the back of her head.
"What did you say, Officer?"
He stands up and said, "Officer Francis Jayme. But you can call me M-I-S-T-E-R FRANCIS, I'm married but my son isn't and I think you two are a good match." And then he winked.
[ Alexa's POV: His arms have bruises, he might have gotten into an accident. It's weird, but he just said I am 20. ]
A doctor enters the room as the officer goes out. They bumped on each other on his way out.
"Oops. Hi Dr. Eliza! I'm about to go, I think your patient is not in the right state of mind right now."
"I heard that!" Said, Alexa.
"I'll go back tomorrow, MRS Alexa." And then he walks out.
"Why don't you go home and rest Francis." The doctor said.
"Please forgive him, he's a good man and one of the best peacekeepers we got here in town he was the one who brought you here and so is other injured students. You were on the beachside when he found you after the lightning strikes incident. So how do you feel right now, is your foot still aching?"
"Yes, I think so. Is your name Elijah?" [ Alexa's POV: She might be the one Eve told me.]
"No, I'm Dr. Eliza but you can call me Liz."
She checks her uniform looking for her ID Card.
"I probably left it somewhere. Sorry about that. Anyways, all your lab results are clear, you have no bruises or sprain, you're pretty strong. Anyways, we will discharge you by tomorrow morning. Make sure you will have enough rest."
[Alexa's POV: How did she know that I had a foot injury, all my lab results are clear.]
"What is the date today Dr. Liz?"
"Umh. It's April 9, 2014. Is there any problem?"
"Nothing."
[Dr. Elisa dials on her phone and talks to someone: Hello, this is Dr. Lisa, the patients are ready for collection.]
