Betty Ribson's Shoe

"That's poison ivy, that's poison ivy, that's poison I-" said Stanley before he was cut off by Richie as we were walking along the path to the barrens

"Not every plant is fucking poison ivy Stanley!" Yelled Richie

All of the quagmires gasp cause Richie said a cuss word

"Oh this is barely the beginning he uses a cuss word in almost every sentence." I say putting my arms around Isadora and Duncan as we continue walking

"Do you cuss to?" Asked Quigley as he leans forward to see past his brother to ask me

"Noooooooo! She's not allowed to. She's to much of a LaDy!" Says Richie mocking me. As he puts his hands in the air and wiggles his fingers

"If I were you Richie I'd start running" I say threateningly

He laughs but then turns around to see me running at him full speed with no intention of siking him out so he runs himself.

Once I finally catch up to him I hit him on the arm.

"Ow!" Richie says as he rubs his arm

"Oh quite" I say as I fix my dress and hair

I can hear the quagmires laughing in the background

Me and Richie walk into the barrens

"Come on aren't coming in?" Said Richie as he walks into the barrens

"Are you crazy have you ever heard of a staph infection!" Eddie yelled from the outside of the tunnel

Me and Richie looked at each other and rolled our eyes. As we continue walking in

"Guys?!" Yelled bill scared as he held up a soggy shoe

"No fucking way." Said Richie as he has his mouth hung open

"It's- it's" I stutter, something I never do.

"It's b-Betty r-Ribsons's" says bill as he looks at the inside of the shoe where her name is written in sharpie he then looks at everyone

"Who's Betty ribson?" Asked Quigley as he's standing outside the barrens with his siblings

"One of my closest friends" I say quietly almost like a terrified whisper

Me and Betty were very close she's the only one who knows I'm abused at home and she vowed to take it to her grave. I just hope she hasn't already.
