The Issue with Weddings

"Hello Madalyn your on speaker."

"Hey you two, how did it go at Jack's parents house?"

Gabrielle answered honestly.

"Pretty bad... Honestly... horribly. We can talk about it later. We are on our way. What do you think?"

"Well there is good news and bad news. The good news is that they found out everything. The bad news is that they know everything and are reacting about how you would expect."

"But how..?"

"Ashley called looking for you. She talked to Mom. She told them everything."

"But why..?"

"Dumb luck I think. I think she thought you moved home or that they knew already. I got my butt chewed out for the last two hours because she mentioned me being with you two. I am currently sitting in my car in front of the house. When I told them my part in this and why, they told me to leave and go back to my dorm. That I caused enough damage already."

"They did that to you?"

"Yup, so I have my stuff in my car and no where to sleep for the rest of the week. Hey Jack, sorry to ask but..."

"Your always welcome with us Madalyn. You know you don't even have to ask."

"Thanks I really wasn't keen on driving back tonight."

"So any idea what they will say to us when we get there?"

"Gabrielle, the last words I heard was that Jack was not going to be let in the house."

Gabrielle turned to look at Jack.

"I guess this will be a quick visit in the front yard. Want to go for food after?"

Jack glanced at Gabrielle as he was driving.

"Gabrielle? Are you OK?"

"Jack, fighting with your family hurt. Fighting with mine is something I am use to."

"Hey guys, am I invited to eat also?"

Jack replied.

"Yup, sushi?"

"Sure, why not."

Jake parked on the street behind Madalyn who had gotten out of her car when they drove up. She gave a hug to both of them and they started walking up the driveway as a group. They were halfway to the door when it opened and Cassie stepped out.

"Gabrielle, our parents want to talk to you. Jack you can leave. Your not wanted here."

Gabrielle's back straightened as she replied just as loudly.

"Cassie, you can tell Mom and Dad that if Jack leaves, I leave."

"Gabrielle don't be an idiot. Get in the house and talk to them. Jack can go f*ck himself."

"Cassie, my wonderful sister, f*ck off. You really think I am going to let Jack go when I finally got him back? You can kiss my a$$. Come on guys, let's go."

They turned and started to walk back down the driveway when Gabrielle's parents came out of the door onto the front steps. Gabrielle's father spoke.

"Gabrielle, don't talk to your sister like that. In fact don't use that language at all. I can see Jack is already rubbing off on you again. Come inside this house so we can talk. We are so upset at you right now. We don't need Jack here for this. I want him to leave our house. We want to talk to you alone."
