Julia is new to VILE-high, and Carmen skips the day to show her around the school. no trigger warnings apply, just regular highschool stuff.

Carmen was striding confidently down the empty halls, surely she'd be able to escape school for the day if she just kept quiet enough. She giggled to herself. It was almost too easy! Sneaking out of gym with her pink "doctor's note." 

She skirted the corner, making a quick dash for the exit. She checks behind her as she sprints faster, making sure that nobody was following her. Suddenly she's out the door, feet pounding the grass beneath her, when suddenly she slam's into somebody. 

"OOMpH-" The muffled gasp came from a girl, who Carmen had just ran into. 

"Oh shit, I'm so sorry let me help you with your things!" True, Carmen was in a hurry, but that didn't mean she was impolite. As she helped the flustered girl gather her things, she studied her face. "I don't mean to be rude, but have I seen you around here before?" The girl stared up at her with startled doe-like eyes. 

"Oh, no. I'm new here, my name is Julia, and yours?" Julia smiled politely at Carmen. 

"Carmen. So, Jules, I would love to spend more time getting to know you, but I really should be going now..." Carmen handed Julia her things.

"Oh, I understand. uhm, you wouldn't mind if you could direct me to this room?" Julia held up her schedule, which Carmen studied quickly before pointing her in the right direction. 

"You're looking for Dr. Bellum's class, good luck with her, she is quite the wild card." Carmen flashes a charming smile, Julia blushes and looks away. 

"Oh, well, thank you very much Carm-" Julia looks back to where the girl had been not seconds ago. "Carmen.." She sighs and walks in the direction of her class. 'what a strange school,'

++Time Skip to Lunch++

Julia sets her backpack on the floor, having chosen a table in the courtyard instead of the over packed cafeteria. She let out a heavy sigh, pulling out the lunch she had pre-packed from home. 

"Watcha got there Jules?" Carmen seemingly appeared out of no-where. Julia gasped and jumped, a hand slapped over her heart.

"My God- that was mean!" She joke shouted at Carmen. Carmen cracked up beside her, leaning on the table from her seat next to Julia. Julia eventually laughed along with her, before bringing up the question that had plagued her mind for the entire morning.

"Carmen, where did you disappear to this morning when you left me?" Julia began eating her lunch as she patiently waited for Carmen's explanation. 

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. I have a habit of leaving without any notice, usually I tell people before the conversation gets further so that they have a heads up, sorry if I confused you." Carmen turned her attention to the metal table, where she traced her finger along long dried up graffiti. Julia nodded, drinking from her water bottle. 

"Would you like to hang out after school Jules?" Carmen seemed chill, but Julia noticed how her face was flushing. It was the middle of November, unless she was sick, it definitely wasn't the heat. 

"Sure, I'll meet you here after 7th period?"

"Deal"
