(Terra P.O.V.)
I opened my eyes and saw a board ceiling. I was confused. I looked around the room. Wooden walls and a porthole. I was on a boat? Ja’far was standing over the bed I was laying in, looking out the porthole. He was holding my hand for some reason. It normally would have freaked me out, but it felt surprisingly comforting. “Oh, I see you are awake,” he said suddenly, looking down at me. Our eyes met and I gasped. Energy was surging through my body the whole while my eyes were locked onto his. I wondered if he felt the same strange surge. He looked away. He looked down at our hands and blushed. He took his hand out of mine. Immediately, I felt cold and scared, not warm and comforted like I did while he was holding my hand. “W-where am I?” I stuttered. “On a ship to Sindrea,” he replied. “How long have I been out?” I asked. “Three days,” he replied. My eyes grew wide. “WHY?!” I asked loudly. He patted my shoulder softly. “We kept giving you medicine to keep you asleep. We didn’t want something to be wrong with you and you to be awake and die or get injured worse. We wanted our water mage and doctor to take a look at you. So we allowed you to wake up a bit before we got to Sindrea,” he said. “So how far away are we?” I asked. “An hour,” he replied. “May I get up?” I asked. “No, I think it would be best that you stayed in bed,” he said. I huffed. He smiled. “Relax, it won’t be so bad,” he said. “Will you at least stay and talk to me?” I asked. “Of course,” he replied. Then I remembered something. “Where’s Luna?!” I asked frantically. “Calm down. She is in her own cabin resting for a while. She did not have any wounds but we are going to try to see if our water mage can heal the scars on both of your ankles,” he said. I frowned and looked out the porthole. “Ja’far, we are about to touch land. Do you want me to carry her out?” Masrur asked, opening the door. “No, that’s ok Masrur. You just tend to holding the boat. I can carry her,” Ja’far said. “I can walk myself,” I said stubbornly, attempting to get up. “Nonsense, I am going to carry you and you are going to like it,” he said. He put one of his arms under my knees and the other under my arms and shoulders. He lifted me off the bed and I put my head against his chest. He walked out with me in his arms. I was blushing the whole way. We got to the top of the boat and met Sinbad and Luna. “Well, I never knew Ja’far could be such a ladies man,” Sinbad joked. Ja’far blushed. “Shut up,” he said. Sinbad stepped off the boat with Luna behind him and then Ja’far stepped off the boat. “Never thought Ja’far would carry the beautiful woman. Maybe you should let me, Ja’far,” a man with weird blonde hair, a dark tan, and clothing to show he wasn’t at all modest like Ja’far. The man attempted to take me from Ja’far but I kicked his chest hard, sending him flying. “Thank you for that,” a woman with blue hair said. She wore a witch hat and had seashell horns. She wore a cloak like Ja’far but the top was open, allowing her boobs to spill out. The only thing covering her were two twin seashells right over her nipples. However, she looked like a kind lady. “Ja’far, take her to the spare room across from yours in the palace,” Sinbad instructed. Ja’far nodded and carried me up a street. It wasn’t long until I saw a humungous palace. “Whoa,” I said. “Big isn’t it?” Luna asked, walking beside me. I nodded. “Don’t worry, you never get used to it,” she said. “That’s totally reassuring,” I said sarcastically. “She isn’t wrong. You really never get used to it,” Ja’far said. We got to the palace and he carried me up the stairs and into the palace. “Whoa!” I said in amazement. I grew up poor and then I became a slave. I had never been in a place quite that nice before. “It’s beautiful,” I gasped. “Wait until you get a chance to explore when Yamraiha clears you to walk and move,” Luna said. “Who is… Yamraiha?” she asked. “She is the blue haired woman that congratulated you on kicking the guy in the chest,” Ja’far said. “Oh,” I said. He carried me through the grand room we had entered and up a spiral staircase. “Even the stairs are beautiful!” I gasped. The pair just chuckled at me. We got to the top of the stairs and there was a hallway with a bunch of doors. “This is the floor all of the Generals sleep on. However, we are going to the top floor where Sinbad sleeps,” Luna said. “Why?” I asked. “Because that is where you two are going to sleep,” Luna said. “What about you?” I asked her. “I have to stay with the other Generals,” she said. “But why?” I asked. “Because it’s the way things are,” she said. We walked up another spiral staircase and into a large hallway with three doors, well, technically four. One room had double doors. I was assuming that room was Sinbad’s. Down the hall was two rooms across from each other. Luna opened the door that was beside Sinbad’s room. “This is going to be your room. Ja’far’s is the room right across from this one, and Sinbad’s room is right beside it. You have plenty of people to go to if something happens,” Luna said. Behind the door was a beautiful room with gold and silver walls. There was a large bed with curtains surrounding it. The room was decorated with gold and silver ornaments here and there. “This room is beautiful!” I said. “You’ve said that about everything you’ve seen,” Luna said, laughing at me. Ja’far laid me down on the mattress and I gasped at how soft it was. It felt like I was laying on a cloud. There was a knock on the door and the blue haired lady walked in. “Luna, Ja’far, I need to ask you to leave. I’m going to check her over and then Sinbad and I need to discuss some things with her. Both of you go wait in your rooms. I need to check you both over,” the lady said. Ja’far and Luna left. Once the door was closed, the lady turned to me and smiled. “Hi, my name is Yamriaha. I am the water mage of the Generals. I will be checking your wounds to see if anything is fatal,” she said. I nodded. She leaned over me and did some weird hand movements. Suddenly, I felt all of the blood in my body flowing. I had never felt that. I thought it was something you weren’t supposed to feel. “W-why do I feel like this?” I asked, scared. “Calm down dear, it’s ok. I used my magic to make your body do this. I am checking for wounds on the inside and out,” she said. Suddenly, the feeling vanished. “Alright, you don’t have any internal problems except for some internal bruising. You do however, have a few external problems. You beat and banged up all over. Your legs have been over used. I know you have super strong legs, but you’re going to have to cool it for a while,” she said. “Anything dire?” I asked. “Fortunately no. Although, Sinbad saved your life. You still have a little bit of an internal scar, but you have a nice external scar,” she said. “What?” I asked. She handed me a mirror. I saw a golden star on my forehead. “Wha-?” I gasped. “There used to be a black circle there!” I said. “Yes, I know. You have a tiny black dot in the inside of your forehead we will have to keep an eye on,” she said. I began to think. “The black dot is pretty much gone! Does that mean I am no long cursed by Judar? Who is my new master that gave me the golden star?” I asked myself. There was a knock on the door and Sinbad walked in. “I will leave you two alone for a while. I’m going to go check on Ja’far and Luna,” Yamriaha said. She quickly left the room. “May I sat beside you?” he asked. I nodded and propped myself up on the blankets. “So she showed you the scar?” he asked. I nodded. “The star is from me,” he said. I gasped. “S-so, you’re my new master?” I asked. “Well, yes and no,” he answered. I was confused. “Yes, I am blood bonded with you. I did it to break the curse Judar had on you,” he said. He took my hand in his hands. “But I am not your master. You can do whatever you want for any reason you want to do it. I can control you, yes, but I will never. Your decisions are yours. However, I will use the bond to speak with you through our minds. We can communicate like this and you can become a reliable partner like Ja’far,” he said. “Is that why I am up here?” I asked. He nodded. “I apologize I have to take you away from Luna, but it really is for the best,” he said. “Can Luna share this room with me?” I asked. “Huh?” he asked. “Well, this room and bed alone are more than big enough to hold us both. Trust me, we’ve fell asleep together on a much smaller bed. Can she please?” I pleaded. He just stared at me in thought for a moment. “Alright. I will have her bring her things up here and the two of you can share,” he said. “Thank you, Sinbad!” I said, throwing my arms around his neck and hugging him. He was shocked at first and then he hugged me back. “Alright, since your are going to be one of my Generals, you need a vessel,” he said. “A what?” I asked, thoroughly confused. He smiled. A metal vessel. It is something metal that holds great value to you in some way. We can go down to the market vault later and see what we can find for you. It gives you more power. Yes, I know you can run really fast and you are really strong, especially your legs, but in battle, there are times when you need a little extra power. You can’t rely on your legs for everything. I will hold a meeting with all of the Generals later to add you to the group, introduce you to everyone, and maybe I can convince someone them to show off their metal vessel,” he said. I nodded. “Alright, I think I have exhausted your mind enough with all of this knowledge of everything. Yam should be back soon. She will tell you if you can move or if you need to stay in bed. Until then, rest,” he said. He got up to walk out when the door opened. “Wait, King Sinbad, you need to stay here. Luna is coming in too. She is going to use her sound magic to try to listen to a conversation you two have in your minds. I need to see how this works and you two need to know how it works as well,” Yamriaha said. The door opened again Luna walked in. “Alright, try a few different things and I will listen to see if I hear anything,” she said, sitting on the edge of the bed. Yamriaha watched Sinbad and I eagerly. Sinbad closed his eyes and then I felt my brain tickle a little, not like with Judar and I felt a stabbing pain in my head. “Terra, can you hear me?” Sinbad’s voice asked in my head. I smiled. “Yes I can hear you,” I responded back. “That was weird,” Luna said. “What?” I asked. “Where you two talking?” she asked. Sinbad nodded. “It appears that I can’t listen to your conversation. I tried to but all I could do was read your minds. Terra, you were thinking that your brain felt like it was tickling and Sinbad you were thinking about the star on Terra’s forehead,” she said. “I was completely diverged from your conversation,” she continued. “Alright, let’s try something else. Sinbad, I know you don’t want to, but you need to know how in case something happens and you need to, or in case you accidentally do it,” Yamriaha said. Sinbad sighed. “It’s ok, Sinbad. It’s just this once and it’s just for a test,” I reassured him. “Fine,” he said. He closed his eyes for a moment again and then my brain started tingling. Suddenly, all of my thoughts disappeared and it was like I was inside Sinbad’s head. I heard all of his thoughts, but I didn’t do anything. I wasn’t under his control I was just in my mind. Suddenly, the tingling stopped and I got my thoughts back. “What happened?” Yamriaha asked. “I felt tingly and then I wasn’t thinking my own thoughts, I was inside her head hearing all of her thoughts,” Sinbad said, gasping. “It was the same with me,” I said. “Strange. Alright Sinbad, try controlling her again,” Yamriaha ordered. He groaned and closed his eyes. I felt the star on my forehead get warm. It was weird, I always felt cold on my forehead when Judar was controlling me. The warmth wiped my mind clean but I could still see clearly. I wasn’t processing anything, everything was completely blank. “Poke Luna,” a voice in my head said, and I had to comply. I did so. I knew who Luna was but I wasn’t processing in my mind who she was. I could see her clearly, but I could have punched her and not cared because I didn’t know who she really was. If I wasn’t in a trance, I would have known the voice in my head was Sinbad’s. Suddenly, the warmth vanished and I could process things again, but I had no idea what had happened. I felt exhausted. The next thing I knew, I was on my back and I fell asleep.
