Chapter 10

A week later...

Ranveer had been crying. He had been skipping meals and not attending college. He missed Deepika way too much to function. He wanted her back so badly.

Ranveer was just laying down on his bed after finishing another bottle of wine when Kriti entered his room. "Ranveer?" She said. She sat beside him. "Why are you here?" He asked.

She hadn't came to his room since so many years. "Are you ok. You haven't been yourself lately," she asked. After all, she was his sister. He sighed. "Sonakshi told Deepika that I slept with Sonakshi's sister. I did sleep with her, but that was long ago. I didn't even have a chance to explain myself. Now Deepika is really mad at me," he said and another round of tears flowed down.

Kriti hugged Ranveer. He sobbed into her shirt. "What makes you think she is mad. She is hurt. She always asks me how you are and where you are. She is still worried about you. This past week has been really tough for both of you equally. So why not, you go to her father's house, she is there now, go and apologies to her," Kriti said.

"Thanks little munk," he said and kissed her forehead. Ranveer got his keys and rushed out of bed.

He reached New York soon and parked his car at her house. He ringed the doorbell and her father opened the door. "Hi Ranveer beta, what brings you here?" Prakash asked. "Uncle, I have to say sorry to Deepika. I need to explain to.her some things," Ranveer said.

"She's in her bedroom," Prakash said. Ranveer rushed up and knocked on her door. "I don't wanna eat papa!" He heard her groan. He opened the door to see her. She was looking beautiful.

She lay on the bed in a crop top. She didn't have her glasses on. "Baby," Ranveer said in the most comforting tone possible.

Her head shot up and her eyes flared with anger. "What are you doing here!" She shouted and got out of bed. He walked closer to her. "Baby, at least listen to me," he said. "No, go away," she said, moving near him and pushing him to the door.

"You know, the more you push me away, the more I'll come back. So rather just let me explain. Then you choose whether you wanna be with me or leave," he said. She stopped and stepped back.

"Talk," she said. "I didn't sleep with Sonakshi's sister recently, I slept with her a few months back. I have no idea how Sonakshi thinks that I slept with her now.i haven't. After I saw you, I didn't even think of sleeping with anyone," he said.

"Yeah right," she scoffed. "I know you won't believe when I saw this but here it is, I love you," he said and she almost fell down. "What?" She said softly. "I love you," he said again.

He walked closer to her and held her face. "I love you so much," he said and kissed her. He had missed her lips so much. She closed her eyes and kissed him back. He left her face and held her waist, pulling her closer. Her hands landed on his shoulder. She pulled out and tears streamed down her face.

"I missed you so much," she cried. He wiped her tears and pecked her lips again. "I missed you too," he said.

He didn't even ask her for an answer to his I love you. He just needed her now. She pulled him into her bed and straddled him. She leaned in and whispered in his ear.

"I love you too," and blushed...
