STORM

Chapter. 5

         STORM'S POV

   They kept on sending texts like that to me. Since there wasn't anything savoury in the fridge for me to eat, I ordered the pizza. I called the number that sent the text to me so I could order

"Hello, pizza hut at your service" a high pitched voice called out from the other line.

She sounded like those people in the movies who were always ready to attend to the next customer with a smile.

"I would like to order a medium size barbeque chicken pizza with pepperoni" I went straight forward

"Address?" She asked

"No 10, Avalon street" I replied. I heard the scribbling of a pen on a paper

Who would receive it?" She asked with a friendly tone, as though she was automated to always do so

"I will, storm" I replied

"Your pizza will be delivered to you shortly, thank you for choosing Pizza hut. Do have a nice day" she ended the call right after that and I started to wonder if she was some sort of robot

  I went to sit on the couch and went through my news feed with several unread messages.

Text messages

    From Aldrie
    From Jake
    From Dad
    From Laren

  I totally forgot about the group work we had planned to start working on but the grumbling in my tummy didn't let me concentrate on anything work.

I put in my earplugs and turned the volume up to watch a movie on my phone, it didn't take too long in the movie before the door bell rang.

It was over 15 minutes and luckily I didn't starve to death. I put on my pink slippers and ran upstairs to get my wallet, that was probably the fastest I have ever moved since forever.

"Ding-Dong, who's in?" A voice called out from behind the front porch

I looked through the door hole when I got down to see the pizza delivery guy standing right outside

"Okay, here is the money. You saved me I can't wait to dig into this" the only thing I could think of was the box of pizza in his hands

"It's you!" He exclaimed

I looked up to take a look at him better, one feet behind the door just to see the familiar face

"You're the guy from the bike fall" I said relieving a bit of the accident in my mind

"It's nice to see you again" he said as he handed over the pizza to me. He had really black curly hair which made his eyes shine out more

"Yeah it is" I managed to escape from the trance his eyes almost put me into

"Are you fully okay now to deliver pizza?" I asked

"It was a little fall and when I'm less busy I do" he said with a smile

"I really should get going, can we keep in touch?" He asked, brushing against his hair

Why did he have to look so good!

"Well okay as long as I don't get any text while eating this life saver" I said while he laughed

I took his phone and inserted my digits before saving. I didn't expect to see him again after that day but there we were.

He began to walk down the porch while I went in and shut the door. The pizza tasted even better than I expected, I took in every bit of it and enjoying each bite as though each were the last.

   Going to school the next day and being stuck there in Mr Evelyn's class was a sure punishment. Physics had never been so boring. Although I always finished all the work, he didn't seem to notice. I don't know which was worse; his slow way of talking or his constant gazing around.

The bell finally rang and everyone hurridly packed their bags to leave. I surely wasn't the only one who felt that way in the class.

I left the class with my bag on my shoulders and i didn't expect to see anyone block my way past the corridor.

It was Edcin again and this time he looked different. He looked pale and angry. His aura was also very different. He opened the door to an empty classroom and pointed for me to go in.

"We need to talk" he let his hands rest beside him

My breath stiffened as he raised my face up to look into his dull green eyes.

"What's the matter?" He looked rather tensed than usual

"Tell me a little about yourself" he asked more like an interrogation than a conversation

I stood up to leave as I wasn't ready for such right after a boring physics class. What I really needed was some ice cream.

"And where do you think you're going?, I'm not done talking to you".  He raised his voice in anger

"Do not touch me!" I raised my voice back, pushing his hands away from my face

"No!, do not ever pull me in such a way ever again. What is wrong with you!?" I turned around to leave

He pulled my hair hard and brought me back against the wall. It felt as though my hair was going to fall off
As much as I tried to push him off, he didn't seem to budge

I heard the sound of the door open wide and someone came in, pushing Edcin off me and before I could get what was going on.

"Don't you ever do that again! How dare you do that to her?" A voice I recognized from one of the guys Aldrie introduced yelled

"Stay out of it!, He asked me to find things out and you more than anyone knows I'm only following orders" Edcin stated but I was Laren was not taking any of it

"Stay the hell away from her if this is your way of following orders. I bet you're drunk right now" Laren held my hand and raised me to my feet

"I said stay out of it!" And just then with a shove, they both started throwing several punches at each other and in Edcin's attempt to fight back. The several punches lead to spill of blood.
