As soon as you open your eyes you take in a deep breathe, and are met with the salty prick of the fresh wind blowing around you. In your (e/c) eyes, reflects the beautiful sight of the dark blue sea as far as you could see. Just like the emotions that also recited there, swirling deep within. Little did you know that, dispute feeling powerless with what you had to say to your other half, your eyes glow lowly in the dim light. The echoing sound of the waves thundering against the cliff side a few yards from you was strangely peaceful to you, but it almost drowned out his voice. "My love..." he calls out with a a soft, deep, questioning tone, making you instinctively turn and face him.
He stares at you emotionless almost, his shiny, raven, black hair blowing in the wind, already messed up because of it. "What exactly happened yesterday?" He asks gently, despite the worry and fear swirling within his deep maroon eyes. You sigh, feeling the frozen black hole of guilt and fear within your chest rising up while you try to keep your voice in one piece. "Gloxinia was just speaking with me but you know him, he's always trying to read everyone's mind, even though he knows can't read mine so easily... He was messing with the spell I have placed on my mind and... I don't know how, but he touched my shoulder and saw what Estarossa-" you start, but stop as soon as his name flew from your mouth. It was like your voice had been stolen from your throat, snatched away mid sentence by some unforeseen being. Zeldris dark eyes widen slightly at your sudden cut off as fear eats at his chest unbearably, yet he waits patiently. Letting you take your time, because he can feel the pain weighing on you as he stands before you.
You clear your throat and find your voice again, "You know how time works differently down there?" You question him as you look away, letting your eyes fall to the dark green grass beneath your feet. He closes his dark eyes, knowing full well how time works down there. He hated it, found it a hellish joke placed upon demons by the old Gods or the universe one. A minute on earth, is a year down in purgatory.
"Yes..." he whispers out, his voice almost swallowed up by the wind, but it still met your ears. If you were going to tell him, you'd tell him everything so that he knew the whole truth. "Well... because of that I actually lasted down there without breaking for about two months up here, and I was gone for-"
"Three months, and two days.. exactly..." he cuts you off, while opening his distant maroon eyes as he now looks down as well. The guilt was written all over his handsome face, with his tightly knit dark brows, still angry with himself."... After your father figured out how to place a spell upon me. I forgot about everything, in place of my life was this twisted lie. It was just gone. I was their prisoner, your fathers slave. When he'd send me out to kill for him, I'd hate it, but.. it meant leaving that god forsaken Castle of his..." You say before a small smile makes its way to your lips. "I remember always getting done early and then I'd find myself here, of all places." You say softly, remembering when you first found this place. At night you can see every star in the sky and you can hear the whales singing beneath the deep sea.
