10:33pm
Location: Tokyo, JapanIt was wet and cold in Tokyo, Japan. The air was thick and I could feel the dampness in the air press against my skin.
"Spotted at 33 degrees north, Ayumi, the target's facing your south. Black shades, white collared shirt, black suit. Scuffed dress shoes. Cigarette in his mouth," Sato instructed me.
I loaded my rifle and adjusted my scope until I had a full visual of the man Sato was looking for.
"Can I shoot?" My finger pranced around the trigger. It was aching to take the shot already but this is what happens when you join a bunch of lunatics and give up working solo.
"wait for my signal," he slowly anticipates our target's movement.
I rolled my eyes and shrugged heavily- carelessly at that. My body shifted my rifle's placement and my finger slipped on the trigger.
"Shit!" I cursed on the roof top and a crowd of people started screaming where our target was last seen.
"Ayumi!" Sato screamed in my com.
I yanked the ear piece out and squashed it with the back of my heel.
Getting back down to the ground and repositioning my scope, I look to see if I had hit a civilian- that will not look good for business.
A sigh of relief over came me when I hit my target and my burner phone starts to ring.
"Nani?" I replied in Japanese and sighed carelessly.
"You bitch, I said wait!" Sato scolded me. I didn't care. The job is done. I just want my money and a drink.
"He was going to get away," I shrugged.
"Liar!" The man scoffed angrily. I seriously don't know why he's mad. The man is dead...
~~~
Back to the safe house, Sato yelled at "the man above" I call him. I've never met him but he's the one that found me in hiding and blackmailed me into working for him. I honestly would've done this voluntarily with the pay he gives.
My phone starts vibrating and I step to a dark corner to pick it up.
"Ayumi-San," my younger sister exclaimed through the phone. "I heard your rifle go off during my shift. Is everything alright? You didn't get hurt?" She begged over the phone.
I heavily sighed as I pinch the center of my brows, "Kiko, what have I told you about contacting me while I'm at work?" I merely barked in a whisper.
"Gomennasai (I'm sorry in Japanese), I get really worried. You're my only big sister so it's my job to protect you," she protests.
The line of work I do and she's my last line of defense?..
"You can do that by not calling me during work," i grunted.
"Just don't come back home covered in blood again... I'm still trying to wash out your blood stains from the marble floors," my sister mopes.
"Kiko, are you done?" I became fed up.
"No, one more thing... did you kill him yet?" My sister's tone changed.
Not yet.
I hear the door from afar unlatch open and Sato comes out with an obnoxious smirk...
