Kiko is just starting to wake up and getting her morning started.

I've already did my tai chi, meditation and had my breakfast for the day.. I prepared a light snack in case if I feel hungry before leaving the loft.

But for now, I get to play with my new toy: the black bladed katana.

I pushed back the furniture to expand the open space of the living room and placed down a wooden mat used for sparring.

I took a defensive stance and unsheathed the sword. The beautiful sound of the blade being taken out. It's as if you can hear metal shine.

I couldn't help myself but examine the blade again, this time I pricked my finger trying to touch it. I didn't flinch at the pain- in fact, I hardly felt it.

I licked the blood off and luckily it wasn't a deep cut but to acknowledge how sharp it is... I shall set this aside for a worthy opponent one day.

But for now: let's play.

I was getting a feel for the blade and wanted to get creative with what kinds of acrobatics and combative arts would blend nicely for the sword.

The elevator to the loft dings as the sound of clicking heels fill the room and I almost didn't stop myself because I was having so much fun.

I gave one last twirl and quickly put up the blade.

"Good morning," I caught Paris eyeing me and I bowed immediately before walking to the counter for my water.

She didn't say anything but her eyes never left me as she continues to smile.

I wasn't sure how to respond, I'm not really social.

I looked away the moment I looked at her in the eyes because she still hasn't said anything.

"Ahem," I awkwardly coughed and Paris clicks her tongue.

"G-good morning to you too!" She was taken aback as she was entertained by her own distraction.

"Hmm," I hummed to myself not knowing what else to say.

I've already accepted this will be awkward but in a sense, I guess I'm not overly interested in how our talk will go knowing I'm not the best communicator..

"I-I'm sorry for staring.. and for coming unannounced," Paris was still smiling bright as ever but she was slightly frantic- embarrassed even.

"It's okay?" I questioned cautiously and I caught her eye.

She broke out in a small giggle.

"I don't understand," she shakes her head.

"I don't... either?" I'm no longer sure what subject she's referring to but I generally don't understand what's going on here.

"You... gosh, you're so- refreshing to be around and mysterious," her eyes sparkled.

"other people... are not?" I wanted to keep talking to her.

Kiko is the only person I've spoken freely to. Everyone else has been through tormenting them and interrogating them.

"Nothing compared to you," she takes a seat at the counter.

"Do you want water?" I realized I've been avoiding eye contact and the second I looked up, she's still looking at me.

"Don't you want to know what makes you stand out the most to me?" She gave me this daring smirk as if I'm too scared to ask why.
