Once upon a time, there was a village far off in a remote area, but this didn't stop the plague from coming. It ransacked the town its people leave many dead or sick. Very few were lucky enough to survive of which was Sir Adams. The knight of the land who watched over the people. He was charming with golden locks of hair and blue eyes with a great physique. However even as a knight, he wasn't respected by the king. So the plague had come the king had ignored the town and forced on other villages. Leave the town in poverty with no defense. In desperation, Sir Adams went out on a quest to find a way to save his people.

He went on horseback with little money and many days, he made no headway, but that night he took residence at an Inn. As he ate dinner in the dining hall he overheard some folks talking about a dragon. Sir Adams questioned them about the beast and found out about the dragon that had been terrorizing the people, killing cattle, and stealing their riches. Sir Adams was pleased with what he heard, and that night left toward the dragons keep.

Adams entered the enchanted forest where he was told the dragon lived. The lush forest was hard to travel through but Sir Adam soon found himself in front of the castle. The castle was huge and was surrounded by a moat of murky water. It was old and abandoned with vines growing up its cracked walls. In the center of the castle was a bailey area that was for sword fighting. Surrounded by overhangs that were held up by 13 pillars. There was no roof making it perfect for weeds to come through the cracks in the stone floor.

Sir Adams tide opens his steed within the forest and approached, making sure the dragon was not in sight before crossing the drawbridge and entered the barbican. Sir Adams could see the dragon was there in the center of the bailey, sound asleep. Sir Adam hid behind a pillar and decided this was the best time to kill the dragon while it slept. He quietly approached the dragon, trying not to wake it. He inched closer and closer, and he drew his sword but as he did he wasn't forced on where he stepped. The moment he took out his sword, he kicked a small rock creating a sound as it skidding across the ground. He froze as the dragon tirelessly opened its slit yellow eyes and lifted its huge head. The dragon peered down at Sir Adam giving a moment to analyze the situation.

The dragon was the length was that of a large elephant and as long as a whale and pointy curled horns, with a red and black scale pattern along his back. With sharply curved talons, it picked its self off the ground. He sneered with his long sharp teeth as he stood before Adams.

Sir Adams slowly walked backward in hopes not to be seen as food. The dragon opening its jaws and spouting out fire toward Adam. He could feel the heat of the blast as Adams barely moved out of the way in time. He put his sword away as the dragon roared in fury, spilling around and whipping its long tail in Sir Adam's direction. The tail came fast, hitting Adam and sent him skidding across the hard rocky ground. Luckily, his armor protected him from any real damage. He sat up as another blast came his way. He jumped dodging the ball of fire as the dragon then began to charge at Sir Adams. His wings flapping furiously as it attempted to run faster, to pounce on Sir Adams. But Adam was too quick for the ungraceful dragon. Adams counted running with the dragon still in pursuit.

For a while, the dragon and knight played a game of cat and mouse. The knight would hide around pliers dodging the dragon's attacks. As the dragon chased him around firing blasts uncontrollably. Soon the knight grew tired and knew he had to put an end to this game.

The knight had lured the dragon out of the castle and onto the drawbridge. The dragon roared before shooting fire engulfing the whole bridge. As the fire disappeared the dragon eyes darted around the bridge searching for Sir Adams but he was gone. It seemed that the fire blast had completely disintegrated him. The dragon went back into the castle thinking it won. In reality, the moment the fire blast got close to Sir Adam, he jumped into the moat, making it appear that the fire hit him.

Sir Adam got out of the water, waiting a moment to catch his breath before sneaking back into the castle. Instead of heading to the training arena where the dragon could be seen pacing around on edge. Sir Adam crouched and headed over to a room off to the left. Adam only wanted the treasure, he only went for the dragon because it was vulnerable. Now that the dragon was awake and on high alert, it was too risky.

As Sir Adams explored the different rooms avoiding the bailey. He noticed most of the walls had giant holes from when the dragon, broke them down for easy access into the rooms.  Adams was unsure of where the treasure was and searched over half of the castle before hearing the terrible roar of the dragon echoing down the hall. The dragon was close and Sir Adam could hear its claws tapping as they hit the hard ground. Adam searched the rooms faster and more nervously, making sure not to make any noise.

He entered a room through another hole in the wall into what appeared to be a dining room; tables and chairs laid scattered in the room from when the dragon had previously entered. The ceiling was high where a chandelier hung. Not seeing the treasure, Adam turned around to the broken-down wall he entered from.

As Adam approached the wall he heard the sound of breathing coming from the intact area of the wall. Adams jumped back and as he did the dragon revealed himself stepping on top of the crumbled wall breaking stones under its feet. As soon as the dragon confirmed Adam was the one in the room, he lunged towards him in an attempt to grab Adams within his strong jaws. Before the dragon could make contact Sir Adams ran to the other side of the room. The dining room had only one exit and the dragon was smart. He refused to stop guarding the exit and instead took his time. Turning around and whipped his tail at Sir Adam and missed. As the tail once again came flying this time sending Adams flying against the wall.

The dragon turned to see if Adams was dead but Addams quickly jumped back to his feet. Again, the dragon used his tail, swinging it toward Adams but this time Sir Adam grabbed onto the tail. Adams wasn't strong enough to stop the momentum but held on as the dragon whipped its tail. Trying to shake Adam off the dragon grew impatient and began chasing its tail like a dog, nipping at Adams and its own tail. As it spun in circles Adam timed himself to jump off as the dragon's mouth was closed, letting go of the tail, and landed on the dragon's face.

Startled, the dragon stopped spinning, backing up as he tried to shake Adam off of its face. Lashing around, jumping, and flapping its wings but Adams didn't fall. This only gave Adams time to adjust his position, by grabbing the dragon's horns and gripping on with his legs he adjusted towards the dragon's kneck. Sir Adams let go with one hand and he took his sword out from his holster. As the dragon flayed around Sir Adams took his sword and quickly interested it into the dragon's neck.

The dragon wailed in pain before falling to the ground. Sir Adam jumped off the dragon's face as its breathing slowed and eyelids became heave. Sir Adams retrieved his sword from the dragon's neck as the dragon closed its eyes and drew its last breath.

Adams gave thanks to the beast and went back to treasure hunting. Soon after he came to a room that was filled top to bottom with gold, jewels, and gilded riches of all kinds. It was more than he had ever imagined. He went home and recruit people to take help take it all back to the village.

When Sir Adam returned home with the treasure, he was a hero to the whole town. In the end, Sir Adam and his beloved town living happily with food and medicine for all of its people. Sir Adam was a hero to all and was known as the dragon slayer. Adams was praised by the king and granted a reward for killing the pest that had bothered the people of the land. Sir Adams and his people would no longer have to worry about the future.
