Crew Bending

Chapter 19: The Avatar

It's the morning after Evanz and Jessica made it back home. Of course Evanz and Jessica were the last two to wake up, mainly because of what has happened to them these past few days.

Jessica being the last one to wake up, gets up out of her bed and looks around for her 3DS. Richelle and Morgan notice that she was searching around for it. Before Jessica could ask them where it was at, Richelle gestured towards the door, and pointed to the right, towards the guys dorm.

Jessica sighed at the thought of having to see the idiots, but she quickly woke herself up, and left the dorm, and quickly began slamming her fist on the guys' door. Richelle and Morgan, left a little after her, just so they could watch whatever would happen.

"Relax. I'm coming!" A tired Rage walked to the door, once he heard the loud noises coming from it. Once he opened the door, Rage instantly regretted it.

"DS. Hand it over." Jessica said, sounding very annoyed.

"Ooooh, Evanz! Your girl is here, and she wants her DS. You better go get it!" Rage playfully shouted to the others.

Jessica just glared at Rage, while Evanz grabbed the 3DS that was sitting on the counter. He then handed it over to Jessica, who snatched it out of his hand.

"Hollow. Fire dojo, thirty minutes." Jessica said as she walked away from the door, towards her dorm.

"Evanz, you sure I can duel her? You aren't going to get jealous or anything right?" Hollow asked Evanz with a smirk on his face.

"I don't care! She isn't my girlfriend! So, why should I get jealous." Evanz responded, slightly annoyed, but he knew that they were just trying to mess with him, and lighten the mood they have been in while he was gone.

Exactly thirty minutes later, everyone was in the fire dojo, waiting for the duel to start. Jessica and Hollow were on the floor, getting ready, and getting last minute practice in. While the others, including the trainers, were sitting on the sidelines, placing bets on who would win. Almost everyone voted Hollow, no never mind, everyone voted Hollow.

Eventually Fred decided that he would announce to everyone that the duel would start. So he walked down to where Hollow and Jessica were standing, and told them to get ready, and that they would be starting soon.

Fred began to give a countdown for the two. But once he said "1", right before he said "go", Jessica summoned a fire right behind Hollow. This caused him to jump forward a little, then instantly shoot some lightning passed Jessica's head.

"Go..." Fred mumbled as he quickly left to sit with the others.

After about twenty minutes of barely missing or hitting one another with fire related things, it was evident that Jessica was getting a bit tired. And once she got smacked on the shoulder by a simple fireball, it was clear she was tired.

Everyone noticed this, including Hollow, who was now taking it a lot more easy on her. Evanz began to feel a little bit bad for Jessica. Considering he knew almost exactly what she has been through. So Evanz figured that he would attempt to help her a bit.

Evanz' idea of help, was bending the water that was in Morgan's water bottle, and soaking Hollow with it. Once Evanz did that, it served as a long enough distraction for Jessica to light Hollow's foot on fire.

No one noticed that Evanz was the cause for the distraction. And Fred figured that he would end the duel with a draw, because he didn't feel like just training a single person tomorrow.

"Okay! That's enough! I'm ending this duel in a draw!" Fred announced, causing the two benders to stop.

"I would have won!" Jessica whined.
