"That's what I thought, coward," I sneered, the tone and the words coming from my mouth not seeming to belong to me.

The man turned and speed-walked away from me, stumbling a little bit on the way. I turned around, a kind of fire ignited in my stomach that I had hardly ever felt before. I was glad to see him wounded, glad to see the power that my words had over him.

This wasn't me. But at the same time, it was. This wasn't the sweet, adjusting girl that everyone's knew, but rather a much angrier, more aggressive one, who wouldn't hesitate to hurt you if you had hurt someone else without reason.

I started walking back towards the restaurant when I felt Yoongi sling his hand over my shoulder.

"Holy shit y/n, what was that?"

Ara caught up with us. "What was the need to do that? That was-"

"Awesome!" He cut her off. "Damn! I thought you were some kind of cinnamon roll, but turns out you're actually kind of badass!"

"Yoongi!" She smacked his arm. "That was unnecessary, y/n. You could have got in trouble."

I smiled up at her serenely. "But I didn't."

"But you- your behaviour is so- ugh!" She looked away, frustrated.

"No, Ara. I know. It didn't seem necessary, and I agree it was a bit stupid, but it's done. So let's just forget about it, and have some food, okay?"

"Okay," she grumbled.

Yoongi laughed at her, which made her smile, an unmistakable blush spreading over her cheeks. Finally relaxing a little bit, we walked back into the restaurant, joking around and talking about my hidden badassery.

"Oh, I'm so full!" Ara stretched her arms out as we were just walking out of the restaurant after dinner.

"What's the time, Yoongi?" I asked. I was so glad that they had joined me for an early dinner, since it meant that we could actually do things afterwards as well.

He looked down at his watch. "Seven thirty. What do you want to do? I'll drop you guys home at nine."

"Uhm...let's go see Taehyung!" I suddenly exclaimed. We hadn't spoken since we met last Sunday, and I was eager to meet him to fix up everything for next Saturday, which was Rina's birthday. "I wanted to meet up with him. Will he be at home?"

"Yeah, he'll be home, hopefully. If not, we can go grab some ice cream."

"Sure, sounds good," I said. "Ara? That good with you?"

"Sure, sure. Anything."

"Okay then, let's go!"

As we pulled up in front of Taheyung's house, I opened the door and jogged down the driveway towards the door, leaving Yoongi to lead Ara along.

I rang the doorbell a couple of times and stepped back when I heard footsteps approaching the door.

The door swung open and I was greeted by my favourite boxy smile.

"Y/n! Come in, come in! So sorry, I just ate my dinner, I don't have much food left," he said, gesturing to the table, where there was some food that he'd probably just finished up.

"Oh, no problem, I just had dinner. I actually came with Yoongi and Ara," I said, turning around to see whether they had come in. I smiled when I saw that neither of them had gotten out of the car, rather, Ara had moved from where she was sitting into the shotgun seat, and they were talking to one another animatedly.
