Third Person's POV

Now to the lover boy. Sunghoon ran. Taking double and even triple steps in the stairs. Rushing to reach the rooftop as fast as he could.

And when he is finally in the door. He stops. He grasp for air as with trembling hands, held the handle. He took a deep breath.

'It's now or never.'

He finally opened the door.

And he was greeted by the Jake. Who is standing, his back facing Sunghoon. Preparing his words. Sunghoon took his steps towards him. And as if everything has stopped, Jake turned around. Saying,

"Jared why are you—"

And Sunghoon fell. LITERALLY. He fell on his knees. Jake on the other hand, was surprised not just to see Sunghoon instead of Jared but more surprised because Sunghoon suddenly fell.

"H-hoonie?! What happened? What are you doing here?!"

Jake said as he approached Sunghoon. But Sunghoon can't meet him on the eyes. He's so frustrated. The first thing Jake has mentioned was Jared. And his hopes were crushed. Instantly.

Jake leveled Sunghoon as he haven't stood up yet.

"Hey. Are you okay? Why are you here? Have you seen Jared?"

Sunghoon really don't have any plans on talking anymore. He just can't. He's too hurt to talk.

"Wait. I'll just check on him okay? I'll be back."

Jake said planning to stand up. But stopped.

Or was stopped.

By Sunghoon's hand, suddenly reaching to him.

"Hoonie?"

Sunghoon took deep breath as he gathers up his courage.

"C-can..... . . . .. . .."

Jake stared at Sunghoon. More like on his hand, holding his. Then there goes his heart again. Beating like crazy.

"Can? Can I-i what?"

Sunghoon again, took deep breaths and gathers everything.

As if on a movie, flashbacks suddenly filled on Sunghoon's memory. Right from Day 1. His stolen glances, to their now closeness. Everything. Every single memory. It flashes on Sunghoon's mind as he spoke the words that he could ever think of at that moment.

"Can

Can I be him?"

The world has stopped. For Sunghoon and Jake, the world has stopped.

Unsure of what he heard, Jake went down again. Looking at Sunghoon as the boy never released his grip to him.

"Can you be what?"

Jake need a confirmation. He just can't believe what he just heard. Sunghoon must've gathered his everything, he finally had the courage to look at Jake.

Looking at the eyes of the one that he loves the most, Sunghoon let his heart speak for him as he held Jake's hand tighter to him. Jake stares at Sunghoon. Unable to move.

"Can I be him? Can I be the one who's going to stay for you? Can I be the one who will always make you laugh? Can I be the one whom you'll share your everything? Can I be the one you'll treasure forever? Can I just be Jared? Can I be the one you love? Can I?"

Jake is speechless. He can't believe it. And yet Sunghoon, who's now tearing up before he could even realize continued.

"I don't know how or even why. But one thing is for sure. I already knew it the moment I entered the room. I know that I fell for you. I know that I love you right at that time. I can't get you out of my mind. I can't stand you getting hurt. I always want you to be happy. And I chose you. And I will always keep on choosing you. You're the only one who made me feel this way. You're the only one and you will always be."

Sunghoon held Jake's hand and rested it on his heart as he approaches Jake. The man who seemed to be frozen, just stares at Sunghoon, watching his every actions.

Faces inches apart. Sunghoon rested his head on Jake's left shoulder as he finally let out the word.

"I love you and I will always will. It doesn't matter if you'll love me back. I just want you to know. I love you. I love you so much."

Jake was left speechless. He can't find the right words. He don't know what to say.

But he find himself smiling. And even if he's still confused, he knows. Deep inside him. Sunghoon is special.

He raised his left hand as it stroked Sunghoon's head that is still resting on his left shoulder, saying the words Sunghoon never expected to hear.

"Everything will be worth the wait. I can't return your love at this moment. But soon. I know I will."

Jake said smiling. Sunghoon's ears perked up as he immediately looked up. Only to be met by Jake's beautiful eyes. He smiled.

"I will always wait for you. I know you're always worth my wait."

Sunghoon spoke as he stood up. And offered his hand to Jake. Which he gladly accepted. Smiling brightly, Sunghoon pulled him into a hug and at that moment, Sunghoon knew.

He's now happy and contented. Right in the arms of Jake, his one and only. And that is what matters the most.
