EXT. RIVER PATH - DAY

It's a beautiful morning. SAM WINCHESTER jogs into frame,  hair flowing and clad in athleisure wear. He stops, breathing  in the new day, and looks out over the river.

INT. BUNKER - DAY

Sam is greeted on the bunker staircase by a scruffy and  excited MIRACLE.

SAM

Hey buddy.

Sam bends to give him some pets as he walks toward the  kitchen.

INT. BUNKER KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS

Sam can't help the smile that grows on his face as he enters  the kitchen, Miracle in tow. Waiting for him is EILEEN LEAHY,  leaning against the counter in a fuzzy pink robe with a  coffee mug in her hand. She's equally giddy.

EILEEN

(signing)

Good morning.

Sam goes to her and pulls her into a KISS.

SAM

(signing as he speaks)

Morning. Dean up yet?

Eileen shakes her head, a little sadly.

EILEEN

Haven't seen him.

Sam nods, and kisses her again for good measure. This is  something he'll never get tired of doing.

SAM

I'm gonna shower. And then,

(signing)

breakfast.

Eileen smiles.

INT. BUNKER HALLWAY

As Sam heads for the bathroom, he passes a closed door, and  pauses when he hears the quiet words coming from the other  side. He stops to listen.

INT. DEAN'S ROOM

DEAN

-and I know you're doing the whole 

hands-off, answer-is-within-you thing.

DEAN WINCHESTER sits on the side of an unmade bed. Empty BEER  BOTTLES litter the room, and at the foot of the bed are two  dog bowls. He's looking down as he speaks. There's no one  else in the room.

DEAN (CONT.)

I get it. It's a helluva lot better 

than the other guy. But we miss you, 

kid.

CUT TO:

Sam's face falls when he realizes what Dean is doing, who  he's praying to.
