It's May 14th 2021 and it was just another cold, boring day in The UK. Stuck in the same apartment, same surrounding the only things to keep me company are my plants, cat's and my diary. Well that was until about 5pm this afternoon when my agent called me. I'm an actress. Well I'm aspiring to be so seeing her name pop up on my screen means a lot even if it's just an opportunity. I grabbed my phone as soon as I could and accepted the call prepared for anything to be honest. "Hi (y/n)" she said in a cheerful tone. "Hello Carol, you sound rather happy today, what's the news ?" I ran over to my notepad and pen I kept on the small wooden coffee table just incase I had to make any notes on what I may have to do. "Well would like to congratulate you on securing an audition for season 10 of American Horror Story !" Sock took over my whole body as I screamed down the phone. I felt quite bad for Carol as I probably burst her eardrums. I've always been such a big fan of that show ever since the first season aired I've been hooked never able to take my eyes off this one woman. her name was Sarah Paulson. I'd never questioned my sexuality before but wow as soon as I saw her I just joined a path of self discovery. "OMG wow thanks Carol I have no clue how you did this I don't know how I will ever repay you. I just have a few questions." "Okay go ahead she said." "When is my audition, where will it be and do you have a script ?" "So your audition is on the 20th of May, your audition will be held in La I will forward you the address over email later along with your script." "WHAT MY AUDITION IS IN 6 DAYS I DON'T HAVE TIME TO PREPARE WHAT DO I DO !" "Shhhh calm down it will be okay your an amazing actress you pick everything up pretty fast I'll send you over your script for the audition so you can start reading it asap, okay ?" "Yes thank you Carol, well I best be going now I'll send you a message when I get the script. Thank you again. Byeeee." "Okay bye (y/n) speak soon."

I hung up the phone call, threw my phone down on the old tatty couch and ran round my apartment without a care in the world. Screaming and jumping into the kitchen towards the fridge and taking out the last slice of cake from my birthday a few weeks before and lighting a candle. I retrieved my phone which had slipped off the couch and onto the floor with now a new crack on the screen. "Shit!" I muttered to myself. "Oh well it will be fine. I swiped up on the even more damaged screen and messages my best friend.

(Y/n):(Y/F/N) CALL ME RN!

(Y/f/n):What what happened, are you okay?

(Y/n):Yes, yes, I'm fine just face time me.

I walked over to my bedroom door and opened it i ran inside and jumped on mu bed while still holding my cake. I accepted the call from (y/f/n) and blew out the candle. "(Y/n) why do you have a slice of cake and with a candle in it your birthday was 2 weeks ago?" "Well I'm celebrating." (Y/f/n) face turns. "OMG ARE YOU PREGNANT?" I burst out laughing. "No of course not, number 1 I'm single and number 2 I don't really think I like boys remember I told you?" "Oh yh sorry lol. So then what's the cause for celebration then?" I began to speak with a mouthful of cake. "So basically I got an audition for a TV show that's quite popular. I got an audition on American Horror Story!" I said while laughing in excitement. "OMG (Y/N) YOUR GOING TO BE FAMOUS!" (Y/f/n) said while jumping up and down. "Calm down I haven't even auditioned yet remember. My audition is in 6 days then I'm not sure how long it will take to see if I got cast." "Oh come on (y/n) we both know your an amazing actress and that your obviously going to yet the part." It was at this point I saw my computer received an email from Carol sending me the address of the audition and the script. 2Hey (y/f/n) my script just came through so I'm gong to head off now and give it a quick read through before I start packing for La cause I will have to leave in few days." (Y/f/n's) face turned. "Your going to La?" "Yh duh where do you think they film and audition. Don't worry I won't forget about you I'll text you whenever I can okay?" "Okay little miss fame." She said giggling. "Urgh don't call me that, if you were here right now I'd slap you round the face." "calm down missy" (y/f/n) said with a little tone of sarcasm in her voice. "I'm only joking... or am I?" I said as we both started laughing. "Ok I'll let you go now then, keep me updated. Love you!" "Love you too" I said as I hung up the phone running over to my computer and printer to print off the copy of the script while I emailed Carol saying thank you for at least the 100th time today .I picked up the script from the printer and placed it on my side table while grabbing my phone and putting on my Spotify playlist dancing round my room packing my suitcase with everything I will need to stay over there for about 2 weeks. I checked the time and saw it was about 10pm already. "Jeez time fly's by when your having fun I guess. Well I best have a shower then read over my script before I go to sleep." I walked into my bathroom and turned on the shower, I stepped into washing my hair realizing I probably needed it cut .With that I put it up into a messy bun and wrapped my towel around my dripping wet body before drying and putting my shorts and tank top on. I picked up my script from my side table and said to myself "here we go I guess." After about an hour of reading and re reading you feel more confident. So I placed my script into a folder and into my dresser draw .I retrieved my phone and immediately looked for the soonest flight to LA I could.it wasn't actually that hard to find one so with that I booked the flight and just ha to wait for my ticket. "LA here I come!" I checked my social media before texting both Carol and (y/f/n) goodnight and thanks. And with that I turned my light off and went to sleep.
