Like most teenagers after a break up, they sit in their room for days on end contemplating on where they went wrong, but I wouldn't be classified as most teenagers.

You see, he was my first boyfriend. I gave him everything. Except my virginity of course, thank God. I loved him, I cared about him, I treated him so well. It was a one way relationship if you think about it. All of the times I would tell him that I love him, he would say "thanks babe" and give me the all knowing smile everyone loves. Of course he said it back, but more often than not, he didn't. When I would try to hold his hand, he'd hold it, but soon let go there after. When I would ask if he wanted to come to my house for movie night, football was always the first priority. Somehow, I got lost in the relationship. I was so head over heels in love with the guy, that I assumed he loved me back.

Looking back now, I wasn't in love with him. Not really. I was just in love with the idea of being in love. I would look at him and think how amazing he is, but that isn't love. I just assumed. And assumptions are one of the worst things to have in a relationship. The only thing I did wrong with him was saying yes to, "Will you be my girlfriend, Katie?" God, I was so gullible.

My best friend and I were sitting on my bed at two in the morning hatching up a plan. Of course, it will take weeks to put together if we want it to be perfect. Chelsea started jotting down ideas as we lay sprawled out on my bed. I turned on MisterWives on my phone and jammed out.

"You know, I never liked him anyways. I knew he'd end up hurting you, babe." She told me with a soft expression.

"Well, you could have told me this before I found him fucking another girl." I said with a duh face.

"I did, Kate. You wouldn't listen to me. Every time I brought up the subject, you'd change it to something about food or some shit." She said glaring at me.

"Really? I don't remember. Oh well. I'm not all that butt hurt. I probably will be in a few days, but right now, my blood is boiling and I feel like I could stab a crab." I said as I clenched my fists.

I snuck a quick glance at her and she was trying to fight back the laughter. I sat there staring at her before I burst out laughing. She took that as her queue to laugh as well. We literally stayed there laughing until we cried for 10 minutes straight until she sat up with a straight face. I did the same as well. We glanced up at each other and burst out laughing again. We continued this for 30 minutes.

Once we had all of our laughter out of our systems, we decided to turn in for the night. As much fun as plotting your revenge for a backstabbing, cheating ex-boyfriend is, sleep was taking over. We threw everything off that wasn't related to the bed, and said we'd worried about it tomorrow morning. I quickly ran to switch the light off and ran back. We both shimmied up underneath the covers and turned to face each other.

"Thanks for being there for me babe. You're the best, you know that?" I said with a soft expression even though she couldn't see me.

"Oh, I know. I get told that a lot." She replied. Yet again, I could hear her smirk as the words left her mouth. "But seriously, you don't ever have to worry. I'll always be here for you. Throughout the rest of senior year, and which ever college you choose, I'll be sure to come visit you. And when you get your own apartment, I'll move into the same complex as you. And when you have little Katie's, I'll be the godmother, and when I have little Jacob's, you'll be the godmother, and when we get old, we'll sit in rockers on our front porches and wander back to these days when teenage drama was just a thing of the past. Sound good fruit loop?" Fruit loop was my nick name she gave me because when she first met me, all I would eat was fruit loops.

"Sounds good, rosy." I named her rosy because her favorite flower has always been and still is a rose. "But Jacob? Really?" I said chuckling,

"Hell yeah, babe. Have you seen him? He's the epitome of sexy." She whistled and laughed at herself. I laughed along with her. She stopped laughing and got all serious. "Now what about Brody?" She asked with concern in her voice.
