"(Y/n)."

"Sorry I missed your call, hm."

You weren't really sorry. Dragon could tell as he sighed at the end of the call, a smirk on your face which he could see via the snail which was imitating you. He knew that you were unbothered but work had to be done.

"Bathing is no excuse to skip work, (y/n)."

You hummed, swinging one leg over the other while being comfortable reclined in your office chair.

"But anyway, I called you to inform you of the new mission which I will be assigning you."

Missions took up the majority of your life. As one of the most inefficiently efficient officers of the revolutionary army, you often got jobs done fast, even if it was in the most showy of ways. It had been a while since you stepped out of the base except for training, so it would be a good chance to stretch your legs. Well, devil fruit power.

"Oh? And what is this mission?"

"There's supposed to be weapon imports for underground trades being transported on a ship in the Grand Line. We don't want for the cargo to get into the wrong hands."

You paused, raising an eyebrow and tilting your head in question.

"Anything else?"

"Yes."

Dragon stopped talking as you heard the sound of what seemed to be him shuffling documents or files of some sort, moving back to the receiver so you could see his blank expression.

"This ship isn't any usual vessel, it is hosting an event which a few nobles of the underground and other notable crooks are engaging in," Dragon raised a serious frown, "the catch is that the government are actually the ones who are receiving the weapons. It is an illegal import yet the government themselves have granted permission to the pirate in charge of the trade. Technically it's now legal, but it doesn't mean it's correct."

"And you're concerning me because?"

A sigh erupted from the snail which channeled the man's voice as he held his head in his hand, trying to wrap his head around why you were so lazy in the most annoying way.

"It's your job."

And the call ended.

Early the next morning, you began your journey to infiltrate the ship. There was no use trying to teleport as you had no idea where the vessel was; it was only a recipe for disaster if you went in the wrong direction. It took a good chunk of the day for you to arrive at an island where you could see the prominent outline of a cruise ship-like structure; the bright lights shining and reflecting on the calm sea. You saw the figures of women and men dressed in fine clothes, in rooms and on deck.

It was time.

The light was filtering through the windows as you began to open your eyes, a frown etched onto your face. You had woken up to see that you were not held in the arms of your lover. It seemed as if he had already gotten up and ready for the day, the room empty as you pushed yourself up from the comfy bedding. You got out to go and change into regular clothes... regular as you weren't wearing even a slip of fabric.

After the rather eventful night between the two of you, you had both showered and just got back into bed like nobody's business. At least you both showered, living as pirates was a messy life but you and Katakuri had decency - it must've been the new royalty in your life which gave you said decency.
