Chapter 5 - Just Those Two Stars

*******Autumn's POV*******
I woke up, did my daily routine, and threw on a blue and black horizontal striped long sleeved shirt, jeans, and some black combat boots. I went downstairs and saw Andy on his phone. I started my car pand he looked up with a small smile.

"Hey sis." He said. I gave a small smile. I held up the keys like asking if he needed a ride. "Yeah. Thanks." He said. We grabbed our backpacks and went outside. We got in the car and went off to school.
*******TIME SKIP! (Who likes boring car rides??)*******
We got out and headed our separate ways. I went to my locker and got my stuff. I was about to shut my locker when my locker was slammed shut on my fingers. I inhaled sharply.

"Hey little loser!" Ian shouted in my ear. I stayed quiet and tried to walk past but Quentin stopped me.

"Where do you think you're going?" Quentin asked with a smirk. I stayed silent but looked at the ground. I snuck a glance at Ty.

"Um.. Guys.. Let's save this for later." Ty said.

"Why?" Jason asked.

"I don't know.. I think we just.. Should.." Ty answered.

"Fine." Jason said sighing. They walked off. Except Ty.

"Um.. Guys.. You go ahead. I'm gonna do something real quick." Ty said and they nodded. He waited until they were out of sight. He came up to me. I scooted back against the lockers. I know he said he was sorry and all, but it might be a trick. "Hey.. You okay?" Ty asked. I nodded and looked at the ground. "I'm so sorry. I'll do whatever I can to stop them. I promise." I shook my head as to say 'It's fine.' "Autumn?" Ty asked. I looked up a bit. "Why haven't you been talking?" He asked.

Tears gathered in my eyes. I thought about my mom, dad, brother, Team Crafted. I slid down the lockers and sobbed. By now, no one was in the hallway. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. I looked up and saw Ty with an apologetic look on his face. I leaned over and sobbed into his chest.

He rubbed my back and whispered, "Shh. It's okay. I'm here. It's okay. Shh."

I calmed down by then and got up. I shot him an apologetic look.

He shook his head. "It's fine." I grabbed my backpack and hugged Ty. He hugged back and I smiled half-heartedly. He smiled back and we both headed to our class.
*******Mitch's POV*******
When we left Ty, we headed around a corner.

"Um.. Hey.. I'll be right back." I said acting like I was going somewhere. As soon as they were gone, I poked my head around the corner.

I saw Autumn slide down the lockers as Ty walked over to her. He rubbed her back and whispered something to her, but I couldn't make it out. She seemed comfortable with him. Maybe he apologized. I smiled. I needed to apologize soon too. I looked back at them and they were getting up. I sighed and went off to class.

*******TIME SKIP TO THE END OF THE DAY*******
*******Autumn's POV*******
The final bell rung and I put my backpack on and went out the door. I put my books in my locker and shut it. I ran off to my car and got in. I texted Andy.

Autumn- Hey. Need a ride?
Andy- Nah. Gonna ride with some friends I made today.
Autumn- Okay. You coming home?
Andy- Yeah.
Autumn- Okay. Cya there. Bye.
Andy- Cya.

I started the car and drove off.
*******ANOTHER FREAKIN TIME SKIP*******
I got out of the car, unlocked the door, and ran up to my room. I was getting my homework out when I heard the door open and close.

"Hey sis! Come down real quick! I want you to meet my friends." Andy yelled. I sighed and went downstairs. I only saw Andy so I assumed the others were in the living room. Andy gave me a hug and led me to the living room.

"Autumn, this is Adam, Ian, Jerome, Jason, Quentin, Mitch, and Ty. Guys, this is my sister Autumn." Andy said.

I stood there with my eyes wide and mouth open. I stayed like that for a few seconds, then started tearing up. I took off running up the stairs.

"Autumn?!" I heard Andy yell. I ignored it and ran to my room slamming the door. I locked it and flung open my window. I climbed onto the roof. I climbed until I was at the very top. The roof was somewhat level at the top.

I buried my head into my knees and sobbed. After about ten minutes or so, I calmed down. I looked up at the sky. It was starting to get a bit dark out.

I saw two stars shining bright in the sky. I smiled at them. 'It's mom and dad.' I thought. I wish they were here.

*******Andy's POV*******
"Autumn?!" I yelled as she ran off. I looked at the guys. "Do you guys know her?" I asked.

"Yep." Adam said.

"Oh. Why'd she run off?" I asked.

"I don't know." Jerome said. I saw Mitch and Ty glance at each other. 'Um.. Okay then..' I thought, but shook it off.

"When are your parents getting home?" Jason asked. I looked down. "Andy..?"

I sighed. "O-our parents a-are.. D-dead.." I said tears gathering in my eyes, but I blinked them away.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry." Jason said while the others just looked shocked.

"Hey um has Autumn been talking at all lately?" Ty asked.

"No. Ever since mom died a couple weeks ago she hasn't spoken, eaten, and she's barely smiled." I said.

I looked up and Ty and Mitch looked sorry and sad while the others rolled their eyes. 'What the..?' I thought.

I heard a window close from Autumn's room and footsteps.

*******Autumn's POV*******
I crawled back into the window and shut it. I put on my beanie, grabbed my phone, and went downstairs. I didn't look at anyone. As soon as I put my hand on the doorknob Andy spoke.

"Hey sis. Where you going?" He asked. I looked over and saw all eyes on me. I shook my head and walked out the door quickly. I started walking to the bridge. I sat on the edge, my legs dangling over the side. It had gotten pretty dark by now.

I looked at the two stars. I teared up a bit. 'I wonder what'll happen if I just jumped right now. No one would miss me.. Moms dead.. Dads dead.. Andy and I aren't that close.. I don't have any friends..' I thought. I looked at the water, the moonlight shining in the reflection. I sighed and looked back up. 'Those two stars mean so much to me. Just those two stars..'
