Chapter 1: The Cole Family

"Moxie! Stevie, Zoey dinner time lets go!" Lexi yells as she walks down the hallway, meet the Cole family! Even though they are rich they tend to live like there not, owning a 6 bedroom house with 2 floors including the basement which was turned into a gym/workout area. They had 45 acers of land out back and lived in a secluded neighborhood, the nearest neighbor being 10 minutes down the road

"Coming mama!" Moxie shouts as she sprints down the stairs passing her sister Zoey who was rubbing her eyes, she was taking a nap before her mom had yelled for them

"Move it or lose it" Stevie shouts as she slides down the railing along the staircase sliding past her sisters as they race to the kitchen to eat

"No fair!" Moxie jumps the final 7 steps nearly tumbling as she hits the ground but manages to steady herself as she runs to catch up, Zoey rolls her eyes she was too tired to care if she won or lost this time, but next time she would be sure to show her sisters up

"Ha Zoey lost" Stevie chuckles as she shovels the pasta into her mouth

"Chew Stevie!" Brynn scolds as she hands Zoey her plate who begin eating 

"Mmm I love it mom" Moxie mumbled happily as she ate more, the girls where always happy when Brynn cooked food, no offense to there mama but she cant cook to save her life. Last time she nearly burned the house down so Brynn permanently banned Lexi from ever cooking again

"You girls all set for school tomorrow" After a long spring break the girls had to go back to school tomorrow much to there dismay they where enjoying there vacation

"I mean yes and no" Moxie loved to learn but even she was enjoying a break, she had finally finished 2 of her projects and was hoping to start a third

"I guess" Stevie grumbled as she ate, she loved seeing her friends but hated some of the teachers, and waking up at 6am? no thank you, she rarely slept from her busted sleep schedule

"Nope" Zoey said as a matter of fact, she hated school. She was bullied a lot and of course her sisters stood up for her, but they couldn't always be there, plus she struggled a lot in some classes and knew she was failing her gym class.

"That's some mixed responses.. anyway me and your mama have to leave after dinner we trust you girls will clean up and get ready for bed on time... I know you girls hate this but bed time is 10:30pm no later" Brynn tells them as she chuckles as they all groan, she knew this would happen

"Why do we need a bedtime?? we aren't kids anymore mom!" Moxie huffed as she crossed her arms 

"Doesn't matter, if we get home and any of you are awake your grounded understand?" The girls nod reluctantly as they finish there dinner and begin to clean up

"Please behave girls" Lexi said she she hugs her kids, they never understood why there parents where clingy before they left. It was the same, a hug, a kiss and a "Behave and we love you never forget" they where coming home soon so why do it? of course the girls never complained if it made there mothers happy

"Bye mama! bye mom!" The girls call out as they work together to get the dishes done faster, Zoey washes, Stevie rinses and Moxie puts them away. Once the dishes where finished they swept, mopped and washed the table down. After there nightly chores where finished they all went silent, sharing a knowing look 

"I call shower first!" Zoey screams running upstairs, the other two exchange a look before chasing after her, this was a normal thing as well, fighting for who showers first.

"No me! I take 10 minute showers you take 2 hours!! plus you steal all the hot water" Stevie yells tackling her sister as Moxie runs past them smirking as she slams the bathroom door shut, the two girls groan as Stevie helps Zoey from the floor

"Fuck this" Stevie grumbles taking out her phone sending a text to Lexi about using there shower in there room

"If you hadn't tackled me I would have wooooonnn" Zoey groans as she goes to her room, Moxie was a mystery with how long it would take her to actually shower, some days it was fast, some days slow. Or if Moxie really wanted to irritate her sisters she would just sit in the bath and sing loudly

"Well mama said I can use her shower, give me 10 minutes then its yours" Stevie says as she runs to her room to grab her pajamas before going downstairs to her mothers bedroom, Zoey just grumbles before taking out her phone and watching tiktoks to pass the time.

*Skip to 10:30 because I want to*

"Night losers!" Moxie shouts before shutting her door, she shuts the lights off and dives into her bed pulling the blankets around her as she snuggled into the soft pillows, she was about to sleep before she heard Stevie scream at her video game, she looked at the time 

"Stevie! shut up and sleep its 11:13 for fucks sake!" She waited a bit but then heard her sister yell again, she tossed the blankets off and left her room walking over to Stevie's, throwing open the door to see her sister sitting on her bed, blanket wrapped around her as she was glaring at the tv screen in a giant purple onesie

"Oh fuck off you camper!!" she shouts angerly into the headset as she slammed her controller on the bed, Moxie rolled her eyes and crossed her arms watching her raging sister

"Stevie!" She nearly jumped throwing the headset off a look of fear thinking her mothers where home only to see her sister leaning against the doorframe the hint of a smirk on her face

"Oh its only you" Stevie sighed in relief as she muted her mic so the others couldn't hear her talking as a new match started

"Yeah now go to bed, Mom and mama will be home soon" Moxie mumbled tiredly as her sister just stared at her seeming to be thinking, she then looked at the time and back at the game

"Ugh fine, one more match" Moxie just glared at her sister who sighed but shut the game off after a few minutes of staring at each other from across the room

"Thank you" Moxie mumbled shutting the door and going back to her room to sleep, just as she layed down she heard the door downstairs open

"Your lucky Stevie" Moxie whispered as she let sleep consume her.
