The next morning, you woke up in a bad mood because you could barely sleep, but you got up and dressed for your first day of school. You weren't thrilled about it, but if you wanted to be able to free-roam, you'd have to go.
Y/N: I'll use the codes I got yesterday to find a laser big enough to get my dad out.
You grab your school backpack and head onto the ground floor to see what Tony and another guy around you look like.
Tony: Y/N, just in time. I thought you were going to give me a tough time.
You look at Tony for a bit, then put your focus on the other guy.
Tony: This is Peter. He'll be your guide around the city and in school.

Peter extends his hand out. You walked past him, ignoring his gesture, and headed straight into the car.
Tony: Don't mind him. He has been through a rough time. Just make sure he doesn't get into trouble.
Peter: Of course, Mr.Stark.
He gets into the car; you stare out the window while the car starts driving.
Peter: Any Hobbies?
You continued to stare out the window, ignoring him, then you get a message from your father.
[Dad: Did you get the Laser Boy?]
[Y/N: Not yet, but I did snag his very own key card.]
[Dad: Even better is Stark; is he suspicious of you?]
[Y/N: I'm not sure he sent his lapdog to keep watch on me. I'll be sure to dispose of him soon.]
[Dad: Dammit Stark, just get the laser and get me out.]
You put your phone away with Peter waving to you.
Peter: Who are you texting?

You look at him and go back to staring outside. He sighs, and you both just sit in silence the rest of the way. When you finally arrive, you exit as fast as possible. Peter tries to follow but falls out of the car. You chuckle; looking at him, he notices.
Peter: Did you just laugh?
You are still chuckling as you walk past him with your hands in your pockets and continue heading to school. Peter rushes to catch up, but you are already gone. The day is going by pretty fast. It's officially lunchtime. You head in and sit at a table by yourself. You think of improvements you could make to your suit to make it more efficient, maybe using your father illusion tech.
Y/N: Maybe I could use my dad's illusion tech, or perhaps I could do my own thing.
Then Pete waves to you at another table. You pretend not to see him, then he starts to walk over.
Y/N: oh, you have to be kidding me.
You get up as fast as possible, but he blocks your path.
Peter: Come eat with us.

You turn around to try to escape, but Pete grabs your hand, and as a reflex, you flip him over onto his backside on the ground. Everyone looks at you, shocked at what just happened; even you quickly rush out of the lunchroom into the hallway. Ned runs to Peter to see if he's okay.
Ned: Are you okay?
Peter: I'm fine; I didn't know they had strength like that; where did they go?
Ned: You must have a concussion. Should I take you to the nurse's office?
Peter: No, I'm fine. Mr. Stark told me to keep an eye on them. I'll be back.
Peter leaves the lunchroom to search for you; meanwhile, you are in the boy's bathroom. You remember days when your dad would hurt you if you did anything he disapproved of, like when you drew The Avengers saving the day, he would push you down and burn your paper in front of you. You then hear someone come in, and you hope they don't look inside the stall.
Peter: Y/N, you in here?
You try your best not to make a sound, but your phone notification goes off.
Y/N: Shit!
You rush out of the stall, and Peter blocks the door.
Peter: If you're worried about me being hurt, I'm fine.
You look for other ways to escape, but it doesn't seem to be any ignoring Peter completely.
Peter: Can you at least say something to me?
Y/N: something, now move, or I'll make you move.
He moves, but as you leave, Peter follows you.
Peter: So are you talking to me now?
You continued to walk around the halls, ignoring him.
Pete: I'll take that as a maybe. Can I ask you three yes or no questions?
The bell rings. It's time for your final three classes, and you dart to your history class, the first one there. You sit down in the back, and some girl sits next to you a few seconds after you come in.
MJ: You're the kid who slammed Peter to the ground. What's your deal?
You don't pay her any mind; you're just staring at your notebook, trying to stay to yourself.
MJ: whatever.
Everyone else arrives, and the class starts. You actually enjoyed learning. You thought it was fun, but after school ended for the day, you looked at who texted you. It was your dad.
[Dad: Tonight, I need you to grab some prison security codes so I can break myself out. Instead, I don't need you getting caught when you can let me into the stark tower when the time is right.]
[Y/N: Ok, Dad.]
You also get a text from Tony, which annoyed you at first.
[Tony: decided that it wouldn't hurt if you walked home today; just don't get lost.]
You had a small smile on your face until you realized that it most likely meant you had to walk with Peter.
Peter: Is that a smile I see?
You jumped instead of doing your natural reflex of violence and tripping over your foot, which caused you to fall to the ground.
Peter: I didn't mean to scare you.
He holds his hand out to help you up. You slap it away and get up, brushing yourself off.
Peter: I guess if you read Mr. Stark's text, I can show you the best spots around NYC.
You walk past him on your way home, and Pete follows.
Peter: Do you have any hobbies?
You reach into your pocket for a pair of earbuds while listening to your favorite song.
Peter: ...
As you were about to cross the street, a car was going full speed. Peter grabs the handle on your backpack and pulls you back. You paused your earbuds, pissed off.

Peter: Just be careful, okay?
The light turns green, and you both cross the street. Once you arrive at Stark Towers, you head straight to your room, but Tony stops you first.
Tony: How was school?
You shrug your shoulders in response.
Tony: a verbal response, please.
Y/N: It was okay. I guess.
Tony: That's better. Why don't you and Peter hang out a bit?
You shrug, and you and Pete go up to your room.
Peter: So you don't completely hate me.
You didn't notice him talking to you. You were planning a way to send the security codes without alerting the cops or Spider-Man. You both get off the elevator and go into your room. You drop your backpack down onto the floor.

Y/N: (I can't let him down.)
You thought to yourself you grabbed a drawing book and started doodling the city.
Peter: So you like to draw.
Y/N: I guess.
Peter's eyes open wide surprised by your response.
Peter: Did I just hear a response.
Y/N: Are you usually this annoying?
Peter: I'm just trying to have a conversation.
You continue drawing, trying to remember the layout you saw on the way home.
Peter: You think you could draw me?
Y/N: Why would I waste time doing that?
Peter: I mean, you're already drawing something. I want to see how far your talents go.
You turn to him and sigh maybe he'll give you information.
Y/N: If I draw you, will you take me to the library?
Peter: Sure, I didn't think that'd be the first place you'd want to go.
You sit there drawing him, and looking at him makes you feel something that you never felt before, but you ignore that feeling emotions are a weakness your father used to say you finally finish and you show him.
Peter: Wow, you're good. Can I keep it?
You rip the page out and hand it to him.
Peter: Okay, I guess not.
Y/N: Library now.
You and Peter head out of the stark tower towards the local library. You enter it into your muscle memory and start to head back to Stark Tower, where you were going to break in and use the computer inside to send your father the codes he needs.

Peter: Wait, you're not going to go inside.
Y/N: I just needed to know where the place was.
Peter decided to head home, knowing you didn't want to see him afterwards. As you prepared for tonight, you headed towards the library, sneaking inside towards the skylight, and gained access to one of the computers.
Y/N: Shouldn't be long now, Dad.
You synced up a new Joy Buzzer with the library computer and started sending the codes to your father. It was slow because of the computer model, so you sat back and watched the loading bar fill.
Y/N: Of course this is taking decades...
After about an hour, the bar was completed and the codes were sent. You removed the Joy Buzzer and placed an explosive USB into each one of the computers.
[Dad: Perfect, now keep your head down I'll message you when I need you again.]
You exit the library and start heading back towards stark tower until a web grapples onto your leg causing you to land on the rooftop.
Y/N: You've gotta be kidding me.
Spider-Man lands on the opposite side of the rooftop.
Spider-Man: Lost your Library Card?
Y/N: I don't have time for you.
Spider-Man: What were you doing at the Library?
Y/N: I was just returning a book that was past due.
Spider-Man: Gosh you're a terrible liar.
Y/N: Whatever...
You pressed a button on your suit, causing an explosion to go off at the library districting Spider-Man and hiding any trace of you there.
Spider-Man: Who even is this person...
You return to Stark Tower, hearing the sound of sirens in the distance. You unsuit yourself and lay in bed, looking at the ceiling, wondering if this was your chance to redeem yourself in your father's eyes.
