I went downstairs. "Good morning mom."

"Good moooornimg. Oh Sweetheart did you just get out of the shower?"

"Yes I did. Mom.. Prince and I did it."

"Oh. Really?"

"Yeah."

"Did you like it?"

"I did."

"Well that's great. I'm glad you had a good night." She sighed. "What about your date with dad?"

"Uh well baby as you can tell your dad's not here."

"Oh he's not. Where is he?"

"Well last night we decided to go to a bar to drink a little. We were dancing together and I went to go sit down. He started following this other women and left with her."

"Oh. I'm so sorry mom."

"We weren't that drunk he willingly left with her." The door opened. "Hello family."

"You cheated on mom?"

"What?"

"You left with a woman last night without mom."

"No I didn't. Why would you tell her that lie?"

"I'm not lying. Look Kevin we gotta fix this or we won't work out anymore."

"Fix what?"

"Your dad's been cheating for months now."

"What?"

"Don't lie to her!"

"I'm not lying. We're supposed to tell each other everything right?"

"Mom why haven't you left him? That's so unhealthy."

"I know but I love him.."

"Yeah but he's not that nice to you. You should leave him."

"No no no. Don't try to put that in her head. I'll change Janice. I promise."

"No mom don't believe him."

"How about you stay out of our business!"

"I knew I should've told your mom to leave you at that center you fucking brat!"

"And mom should've killed you so I would never had to see you again! If I knew my dad was this rude I would want him dead!" I got off the counter. "Unique..."

"Hey everyone what's-."

"Upstairs!"

"Okay okay." We went back to my room. "What happened down there?"

"We just got into a arguement. Nothing much."

"Oh."

"I wanna move as soon as possible now."

"Alright. When is that?"

"I don't know but I don't wanna be here any longer."

"What about the beginning of October so we can at least do some school work before we go?"

"Yeah that's good."

A few weeks later
I took my things downstairs. "Sweetheart. What are you doing?"

"I need the money so we can leave."

"Leave? You're leaving now?"

"Yup."

"Oh. Why so early?"

"I can't stand to look at your excuse of a husband everyday. For some reason you're being dumb and not divorcing him."

"Oh. I'm sorry baby."

"Whatever."

"Oh the money? Let me go get it." She went upstairs. I open the door for Prince and he put my things in his car. She came back down with a bag.  "Okay so, you need to put it in the bank before you buy something like a apartment okay?"

"Okay." She hugged me. "If I leave your dad what will change?"

"I'll still leave but I'll still be in contact with you."

"Okay great. Call me everyday okay?"

"I'll try."

"Bye prince."

"See ya miss."

"Oh my gosh. My two babies are leaving the house."

"Mom.."

"I'm gonna miss you guys."

"We'll miss you too mom."

"What's going on down here?"

"Hey dude. We're just leaving."

"Dude? Is that how you talk to me?"

"Fucking brat. Is that how you talk to me?"

"Babe don't start this with him. Let's just go."

"Where you guys going?"

"Just far away from you. We won't come back. Bye." Prince pulled me out of the house. "I need you to see my mom before we leave. She'll have a fit if she doesn't see you."

"Okay." We got in his car and he drove down the street to his house. "I can't wait to go."

"Me too." We went inside. She hugged me. "I can't believe it. You guys are really leaving."

"We'll come back."

"But not soon."

"When we get everything together we'll come back."

"Okay. I'll miss you Unique and you too Prince."

"We need to go mom. If we don't it'll be dark and I can't drive in the dark."

"Okay. Bye."

I'm having second thoughts. We're going to be like on our own for the rest of our lives. "What's going on with you?"

"I don't know if I wanna do this."

"Baby we're too far away for you to wanna change your mind."
