After Madi forced Charlie to swap seats with me, we talked for the rest of the dinner. We have a lot in common and she's so genuine. Once dinner had finished, Madi announced that she would be heading home before coming to my place. Carolynn and Jeremy said they'd do the same, and that they'd bring blankets. Owen said he would stop at the store to buy snacks. Charlie and I drove back to my place to set up the living room so it would fit everyone. I'll admit, that did end up in a small pillow fight (which i won), but it looked good in the end. I walked over to the kitchen to get out bowls and glasses when the doorbell rang, so i gestured for Charlie to get it. By the time i returned, everyone was here and the only seat left was squished in next to Charlie. So, I placed the bowls and glasses on the coffee table and sat in the last free spot. I turned to Charlie and frowned, signalling that i was uncomfortable.
"What if you put your head on the arm rest and put your legs over my lap??" He suggested. I tried it, but the arm rest was hard as stone.
"Or vice verse, maybe??" Charlie asked, a slight blush on his cheeks as i moved to put my head in his lap. I nodded, throwing my legs over the edge of the couch to signify that i was staying here.
"Oooh, let's watch dirty dancing!!" I said, making everyone cheer as we opened Netflix and pressed play.

I woke up to "I've had the time of my life" playing as Baby danced across the screen. Charlies hand was tangled in my hair, and there was a note on the table. I moved Charlie's hand so it was around my shoulder and reached to grab the note.
'it got late so we all headed home. You guys looked so cute and peaceful so we left you asleep. See you tomorrow!!
Love, Madi."

I grabbed the remote and sat up to turn the TV off, causing Charlie to groan and stretch. I look over at him and see him already looking at me. I smile and grab my phone to check the time, seeing it was half past midnight. That's not too late, but considering we have work tomorrow morning, we needed rest. I looked back over to see Charlie getting ready to leave. "Are you stupid??" I say, walking up to him. "There's no way I'm letting you drive home this late, and you look so tired. We don't want Luke patterson getting in an accident, now do we??" he smiled down at me, his eyes still half closed. "You can stay in my room, i'll take the couch." I say, making him raise an eyebrow.
"Are you stupid?? No way, I'll take the couch."
"No, you're my guest, I want you to be as comfortable-"
"But what about your comfort??"
"Maybe we can share the bed."
"If we sleep now, we could be up early enough to catch the sunrise."
"Let's get to bed then, beanie boy."
