After several weeks of scorching heat, it began to rain. The rain came slowly. It started as a trickle, then a light rain, and last a steady shower.

It rained all morning and afternoon.

The girl, Amelia, and her family went to see a lake that was used to film the Andy Griffith Show. The lake was in L.A. but she'd enjoy her trip there.

She missed talking to the boy she liked. The boy had been busy for a couple days so she had not talked to him. She thought of Dante a couple times.

However, Amelia wanted to forget about him. So, she blocked the thoughts of him for a while. She even tried not sending anything to him but she still tried communicating. At the end of the day, she'd stop trying.

She loved seeing the ducks and the lake on that rainy day. She walked holding the large rainbow umbrella with her much taller younger sister. If it was one thing they'd get along, it was photography.

After the small walk around the lake, her family decided to look around L.A. They lived about 50 miles away so might as well see it. Their first stop was to see the famous Rodeo Drive. It was very mild to see since most of the shops were closed and all but it was nice.

Occasionally, she'd send something to Dante. He'd sometimes respond but was pretty busy. She hoped she didn't bother him so she lessened her sending.

They also went to a Chinatown.

The place was deserted and closed. It was so sad to see the shops that were lively with people now closed and empty. Maybe the current virus affected them but also it was raining. It was sad that only a year later, things can change so drastically.

After that they decided to head home. They'd stop by a vegan Vietnamese restaurant for dinner. It was takeout of course. No one was letting customers dine-in.

Once home, she had a delicious dinner. She didn't order any drinks so it was just water. After dinner, she would try to watch Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield. She used to crush on him. However, she liked a real life boy this time.

Before sleeping, she decided to go offline and see if the boy she was talking to would even notice. She was quite annoyed but she understood.

"Let's see how this goes."
